Iran should try to increase goal difference after next match. the good point, bahrain need points and play for victory vs. emirates, and we know scoreline and standings, in case uae beat bahrain, we know how much to score, to at least draw in our final match to win the group. and we know about japan positioning also, which is 95% NO.1

Watching the highlights, I must say they might not be as good as the scoreline tells us, their keeper Qasem Burham (Buffon vs Iran) basically gifted them all 4 goals, I guess he is saving his skills for the game vs Iran..
It was also some of the worst defending I've even seen, even for Asian standards lol..

Exactly what I was thinking. Against Iran these keepers become European quality with their reflexes and decision making.

I think most of their players are home grown but some people are praising this aspect a little too much. Their best player Omar Abdulrahman was born in Saudi and is of Yemeni descent. He didn't move to UAE until his early to mid teens and was already considered a big talent before he moved there. It's the same with his brother who is also on the team. So yes they are no Qatar but they aren't that praise worthy either.
