Serioulsy, if only, if only, if only Iran could do more precise passes (and i am speaking about easy passes), it wouls be organismic.

A lot of our play is killed with silly BS passes while there is so much space to do much better.

Something I've always liked about Soroush Rafaei is that he is a true CAM. He keeps his head up, is versatile and can take tackles and draw fouls, and he has good vision. Shojaei and Dejagah draw fouls, but their vision is poor. They miss at least 2-3 open passes a game because it is behind them and they lose the ball.

As far as I've seen of Rafaei, he keeps his head up and makes the easy passes. I've only seen a handful of games from him, but I hope he gets the starting nod against Qatar. I think he can do some real damage with Dejagah playing with him.

btw. it was Ghafouri who won us both corners - especially the second one where he smartly used his speed and his cross got blocked.

LOL at Big Soccer Korea posting NOTHING about our game. I'm sure if we lost they would have been posting and laughing. They know who they're messing with now. Iranian heart allows us to persevere.

Good victory ...but the team needs to show a more fluid football.. we are still not able to pass the ball accurately. Aussies will own us like this!

Everyone convinced, but best players for me were Dejagah, Shojaei and Haghighi.

Shojaei showed his quality today, I am very glad for him personally as well, the way he was bashed was not ok.

I am still in a state of shock as to the support Iran had tonight. There couldnt have been more than 100 non iranians in the stadium.....18,000 Iranians to an Iran game on the others side of the world from Iran.

There was a massive party outside before the game, the whole time during the game and WOW after the game outside with the tombaks and drums we just went off. I went to the Australia game and it had NOTHING on this.

I am soo bloody proud of my fellow Iranians tonight. Well done to Iran for brining "Leaders" from Iran to keep the crowd going the whole game. They were the difference and just kept the crowd going the whole 90 minutes.
