I believe all the players in TM can play in Europe, some in better Leagues/clubs than others. But sanctions, motivation, better salary in Iran and persian gulf countries makes it difficult. Jahanbakhsh can make 20 times more money in Qatar and co than in NEC, but he is highly ambitious most Iranian players have money as their numer 1 priority. Jahanbakhsh is kinda unique.

I can pretty much guarantee that Dejagah, Montazeri, Hosseini, and all other players still in the Qatari league will be released almost immediately after Qatar is eliminated from this Asian Cup. They clearly only wanted our players to allow their quality to drop in their Mickey Mouse league. I can guarantee that Dejagah will be without a team by the end of January and that he will be forced to return to Europe. Probably Bundesliga.

Are salaries in Iran an obstacle for going to Europe? Do our players make more money than players in Japan, Korea and Australia?

A player with skill (at least enough to make it in Europe) will get a huge salary in IPL.

It's pretty common knowledge that Ansarifard chose Persepolis over some Euro offers like Steaua Bucharest and some other teams. His salary in Persepolis was in the millions.

He wouldn't have made much money at Steaua, but we can never know if that was the reason for sure.

If you look at a guy like Sardar an Jahanbakhsh, they are developing at rates many times higher than Ansarifard. I would say that both are currently as good if not better than Ansarifard, but years younger. They left before their stock in IPL would rise, and we are lucky for that.

Ansarifard came up in a time when our team was terrible, with the likes of M. Nouri, P. Nouri, Gholami, Haddadifar, Rezaei and other crap players being are go to starters. Ansarifard had no competition, so I don't see him having an urgent reason to uproot himself and go live in Romania and take a risk. Maybe he would have been great now if he had, but we will never know.

Azmoun and Jahanbakhsh are coming up at a time when their places are already filled by good players like Gucci, Dejagah, Hajsafi, and others. Our attack has really improved.

Azmoun and Jahanbakhsh knew that they had to leave early and try to get into top Euro teams asap to jump over Gucci and Dejagah. I really see them both transferring to better teams after this season for sure. Our future looks bright, and despite all the CQ haters saying he is this or that, PLEASE, compare TM 2011 to current TM. Did Ghotbi do anything to improve the team?

At least our team is lightyears ahead now than it was at 2011 AC. Our team had no depth back then. We have plenty of strikers and defenders now. The only thing we need coming up immediately after AC is a new midfield. I hope that soon, our team will look like this:

          -----------------Haghighi----------------
          Ghafouri-Pouraligangi-Hosseini-Pooladi
          ----------------Ezatollahi----------------
          Jahanbakhsh---------------------Hajsafi
          ----------------Dejagah-----------------
          -------------Azmoun-Gucci--------------

I feel that if we experiment with a 4-1-2-1-2, we could be really successful. I think Nekounam and Teymourian will retire if we do well in AC. Ezatollahi is still young, but I hope that he will be the one to mature to replace Nekounam in the coming years. I would like Rafaei, Ansarifard, and Ebrahimi to be our main subs.

The above team would likely take us to Russia with style. I will propose Azmoun and Gucci teaming together until I'm out of breath. I know CQ loves the defensive tactics, but a 4-1-2-1-2 is really what we should be playing. Gucci cannot do it alone, especially when we are sending him airballs. He is like Azizi, and Azmoun is strong and burly like Daei. Azmoun was winning every airball after he was subbed in. I would love for Azmoun to bring the balls down with his power, then give it to Gucci, and use his great acceleration to break his defender for a break away. I really don't like the 4-3-3. It has always been a weak formation, but because of Spain, everyone started using it. A 4-1-2-1-2 plays to Iran's strengths. We don't need 2 DM's. One is enough. Our defense is sold, and a player like Ando doesn't do that much in defense anyway. Would prefer another striker to help us score over an extra DM.

I sincerely hope they all go to Europe. Realistically Hajisafi is most likely but I would really hope for Ash and Ghooch to go back before they completely go to scheize
            Support Iran until the end

It is like many people think that a player is only a good player if he plays in EU. Hajsafi is at th moment our best player and is not in EU.
Players would rather stay In Iran with their Family than moving to EU unless the Money is a lot more. Iran is going to become a place EU players move to rather than vice versa

Dejagah and Gucci have to return to Europe as soon as possible. In the next WC, Dejagah will be almost 32, and Gucci almost 31, im sure they will have lost their starting spot at least until then if they continue playing in Arab leagues. I dont care much about Shojaei and Ando as they probably wont make it in 2018 anyways, Shojaei being 34 and Ando 35 then. Hajsafi could get an offer hopefully, he fully deserves to play in Europe. He is still 24 only and has almost 70 appereances for TM, amazing. Actually i think he could do very well in Eredivisie. Lets see what happens. Also Ghafouri and Pouraliganji impressed me, however i just saw that Ghafouri will already turn 28 this year, thought hes a few years younger.

If it didnt happen after WC, I doubt it will happen now. I will be satisfied with a move to A-league.

I would only be statisfied with A League if its one of our older players like Masoud, Ando or Hosseini

You can not definitively say what would happen if we played with 1 dm, because we've been playing with 2 since 2006

yea, strictly football related and talent alone isn't the only variable standing in the way of a Euro Transfer for our boys..!
money is one of them, and another significant one is the stigma of having an EYEranian in your team and how would that play with the prejudices of their mainstream fans..! also the squad limits on non-EU players

doubt it. unless one of them reeeeaaaaallly impresses every game and we make the final.

as i mentioned previously, the days of scouts picking players from international tournaments is gone. not saying it NEVER happens anymore but it has to be a special case. now days scouts know about most players and their capabilities.

Hard too believe that AFC is intresting for Scouts. Many Clubs will Scout the Africa Cup. And no iranian Player at the Asian Cup was great in the first game. But would be great to have some more players in europ.
