Do you think our players will get offers from European teams after the Asian Cup?

Watching the Oman-Australia game now, and I must say, the fact that this Al-Habsi guy got picked up by Wigan should make us really question why our players are not in Europe. Oman has never played particularly well at an Asian Cup and never qualified for a World Cup, so I'm not sure how he ever played in England. Maybe $$$$?

If Al-Habsi has played at Wigan, Haghighi should be at a top EPL team.

Are you trying to say he doesn't deserve his place in Wigan? On his day, Al-Habsi is a superb goalkeeper; better overall than Haghighi.

Stop being so ignorant. This guy has heaps of gheyrat. He was a firefighter at oman's international airport back in his country. He had to earn what he has today.

He "played" at Wigan when he was good. He doesn't now. Love Haghighi but Habsi in his prime was a top 5 EPL keeper.

He didn't move to EPL directly from Oman. His first European club is Lyn in Norway. None of our players want to play in Norway as Rahmati declined an offer from Rosenborg.

After the World Cup, I thought that many players would be transfered to Europe but no one did. So I now say no to hope they do

                Yes I think so.
It is my belief that European scouts, when they go to Asia, they mostly look at offensive qualities of a player. With Iran playing such defensive style game, those offensive-minded players will not have a chance to show themselves and this will hurt their chances of going to Europe.

If Iran wins the Asian Cup, there might be 2 or 3 players going to Europe.

I think you're right too, but I still believe there is a shot for players like Hajsafi, who show great performances all around.

In reality I'd be very skeptical.
Even with our performance in the WC 2014 nobody took note of out players, why would they now?

Unless we go to the final or pul some upset against the likes of Japan with a shocking result, I just don't see the offers coming in!

I can think of 5 people.
meantime a side note. Look how pp does not know what ghadesieh means and is considering to a team with that name.
I think he should be told go but do not come back. PP and Ghadesieh are like nik and ahriman

                          Javad Nekounam and Karim Ansarifard?

                            I agree with Kiarash.
The only way our players get offers from European teams is if we win the Asian Cup.

I think the offers have always been there more or less. Its the low amount of money offered which put the players off.

Some of you guys really think there are no scouts at a major event like Asian Cup? There are lots of scouts in every single match. Even the U20 CONCACAF cup right now is watched by some Bundesliga scouts.
