Is this the best Asian Cup ever?

Everything is good except for the weather. I never seen Australia being rainy in January, typical our hottest month of the year by far.

Iran really had the pick of the weather in their game against Bahrain. I went to that game and conditions were great. Took this photo which sums how great the view was.

From the AC's that I've watched this is without a shadow of doubt THE best AC.

      - modern/nice stadiums
      - has a population that comes out to other matche's that isn't the host nation
      - beautiful country

The only thing that sucks is the time difference. So far I'm loving everything about this tournament and I'd love to one day see them host a WC, they've done a great job so far hosting this tournament.

      Perspolis FC
      Malavan Bandar Anzali

If Iran wins it, then yes it will be.

But I really enjoyed Asian Cup 1988 in December that year shortly after the war was over, with Ghayeghran and Fonoonizadeh hitting nonstop long-distance rockets... I recall Fonoonizadeh hitting the cross bar from 50 meters way, lol. No live TV broadcast at that time, only live radio. Abedzadeh at 22 was awesome too!

Certainly the best Asian Cup so far.

Professional environment, a good atmosphere, great local fans who come to games, the level of football is relatively decent and Masoud is proving all critics wrong.

I feel like this is the best chance to bring the cup home. If we become champions we're back on the football-map with our automatic qualification to Confederations Cup 2017.

For the first in a while, it's being held in a 1st world country with decent stadiums unlike southeast asia and qatar.

Best Asian Cup I've seen. Adding Australia to AFC has enhanced the confederation's professionalism.

Impossible, will never happen. UAE will get it for sure if Iran got it, it would have been the worst tournament of any sport in the history.

Hopefully Japan, SK or China will host it next time instread of Emirates. Although Emirates hosting it would also mean home matches for us with all those iranians in Dubai

I still hope Iran hosts 2019. It will force the gov to improve and build lots of new infrastructure to accommodate all 24 teams.

not a good idea, it will take more than 10 years to have an infrastructure like Australia today, let alone the stadiums.....

Exactly it will be like the crappiest European championship (Ukraine-Poland) but 10 times worse

It would still be an improvement. If you ever want to see Naghshe Jahan stadium completed or have at least 10 decent fields in each city - Iran hosting the Asian Cup is the shortest route.
Trust me , things in Iran that are funded by gov are only completed well if they are going to present it to foreigners.
And No one is expecting it to be at Australia levels.
Let's not forget asian cup 2004 for example where our TM had to sleep In the Airport thanks to poor planning by the host and AFC before the South Korea match.
