How come they have got the Olympics twice? The world coverage for Olympics is higher than the WC. The bottom line is that FIFA is corrupt.

I remember when Australia joined the AFC and a lot of people were against it. Many saw a spot potentially taken away from their own country from the world cup. A lot of backward thinking from people back then.

They wanted to give it to a middle east country and there weren't many options as far as security is concerned. FIFA know who are getting it and take cash from everyone.

Yes japan/korea had it. But most of people in europe and else where didn't enjoy to have the game the morning.

We are talking about time zone here and i am talking about 'coverage'. The WC has 32 countries participating but the Olympic has over 200 countries participating. So Olympics by far covers more of the globe. Also in terms of numbers, the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony was watch by estimated 2-3 Billion viewers - that a pretty good number as well.

Does not matter if people in Europe or elswhere enjoy or not, if FIFA enjoy a huge bribe thats what matters, remember world cup in Qatar, no alcohol, no chicks, only fat ugly with veil, slaves building stadiums, awful weather like 40 -50 degree, do you think people in Europe will enjoy that??

I've really enjoyed it so far in terms of the actual football played. Jordan aside, every team provides good entertainment value, there's plenty of individual talent on show and the latter stages should be something special in terms of drama given the lack of any massively superior sides.

Organisation and infrastructure has been superb but that was always going to be the case given it wasn't in some Arab/Middle-Eastern stronghold.

I agree. Great atmosphere, respecting local fans, great infrastructure, professional management, and last of all, don't have to stay up to watch the matches

The struggle here in Europe is real, I feel like shit when I wake up at 8:00 to watch it

Well this is the first time I can watch a tournament comfortably, because I live in Australia
At least you can watch major European leagues without waking uo at 4 am

Australia 2015 is certainly a milestone in Asian Cup history!

What I have seen so far attests to the excellent work Aussies have undertaken to organize this tournament. I think their addition to AFC was definitely a positive step. It not only raised the bar in terms of competition but also brought Asian football to a different level in the world and provided it a wider recognition and coverage around the world. I really like New Zealand to also follow suit and join the federation. It will be beneficial both for them and Asia.

Speaking strictly from quality of the games, even though it might be all too early to make any conclusions, but my observation says, quality of the teams slightly lower than 2011. Again, we have only seen one round. Things can change!
