Anyone saying that Kuwait deserves to defeat Korea, or even that it would be a reasonable outcome is talking out of their butt. Kuwait will need heaps of luck to defeat Korea. Despite our feud with them based on recent encounters, we cannot discount Korea's quality. They are a top 4 Asian team, and they deserve to at least make it to QF. A team like Uzbekistan or China is closer in quality to the top 4 teams, but Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar should not win a game against any team outside of Arabestan in this tournament. It's not hate on the Arab teams, they truly are just a few levels below the other teams. Kuwait defeating Korea is the same as Qatar defeating Iran. It would definitely be an extremely lucky match for Kuwait.

LOL! Korea will never lose against Kuwait in a major tournament. You can take that to the bank.

Korea losing to Kuwait is like Iran losing against Lebanon, which happens probably once in 40 years.

If you remember a few years back, David Villa had his leg broken in a Barca match against some Arab club, and it ruined the twilight of his career. He was one of the best players in the world at the time, and we probably missed some great things from him, because these Arabs don't know how to play soccer. They foul relentlessly, pretend to be fouled whenever someone breathes on them, and they grassroll. No hate on Arab people but their teams are disgraceful, especially that they have Nigerians and other Africans/South Americans as their stars.

I don't know how a Qatari can support his national team. Almost nobody on the team is from his nation. It's a club team. If Qatar had to play with only Qatari born players, they would lose every game 10-0. That's sad, and nothing someone should be proud of. I'd be pissed if a team of Nigerians and Senegalese won Iran the Asian Cup, personally.

They lost to Kuwait in 2000 and finished third in the group. Fortunately they advanced to the next round via wild card berth.

Shock upsets happen occasionally, but Korea deserves to win. Losing would imply very bad luck for them. They are a professional organized team. Kuwait is not. I don't even know how many full-professional (not semi-pro) players are on the Kuwaiti national team.

Bahrain only had 7 players who played football professionally. All other players were semi-pros and maintain jobs outside of football.

Kuwait was in their prime back then. Nowadays they are a third tier Asian team.

                  1st tier: Iran - Japan - Korea Republic - Australia - Uzbekistan
                  2nd tier: China - North Korea - Iraq - Jordan - Oman - Saudi - Qatar - UAE
                  3rd tier: Kuwait - Syria - Lebanon - Thailand - Palestine - Bahrain

This better be a decent game. Yesterday I stayed up for the Japan-Palestine match and stopped watching early into the 2nd half because I felt I was wasting my time.

I gave you a thanks, but don't think Uzbekistan quite deserve to be in the first tier (yet). They have the potential, but they haven't really done enything major yet and certainly don't have much of a legacy yet.

True that, but they were really close making it to the World Cup twice in 2006 and 2014. They always choke when it matters though...bad luck.
