Kuwait and Oman's management have really disappointed in this tournament. Both teams have got their tactics all wrong with their negative set-up in both their games.
Kuwait looked decent later in the game against Australia thanks to the sub appearances of Mutawa and Nasser and yet the manager benches the former again for the Korea game and sets his team up to defend when they clearly don't have the quality or tactical discipline to do so. When they were allowed to attack Korea and Mutawa was brought on, they pushed the Koreans right back onto their goal line and looked a different side. I'd be fuming if I was their supporter.
Oman are similar in that they showed prior to the tournament that they're a naturally attacking side who can trouble even the best of teams with their positive play and yet Le Guen who's got serious pedigree comes here and sets them up to defend in both games. Today's performance from them was probably the worst at the tournament so far.
UAE, Saudis and Qatar seem to be the only Arab sides brave enough to actually not go into games with an underdog mentality.
