really? what if china loses to N.Korea and Saudi beats Uzbek?
I've learnt it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts

LOL. Yeah, we're been playing each other a bit too much lately, but wouldn't you guys want to avoid Japan in the semis?

We are going to lose to you guys or japan anyway. I rather see us play japan for once and break one of their player's legs in the process.

I thought the 1st tie-breaker was goal difference too, but according to Wiki it's head-to-head!

P.S. Of course, as usual the AFC site is the worst place to look for information!

With the way it's going, looks like they might be the ones breaking your legs.

Gotta love the Japanese-Korean rivalry though

I like the atmosphere of the Cup but there are more declining teams than improving teams compared to the 2011 edition. Uzbekistan was disappointing again.

It is confirmed guys... the 1st tie-breaker is head-to-head record as per AFC regulations for Asian Cup 2015.

So, China has already topped Group B (regardless of the result of their last game) and will face the runner-up of Group A (either Korea or Australia).

They have also gained a HUGE advantage over either of those two teams and even possibly their next opponent by being able to rest their entire "A" team for the next game (since the result doesn't matter).

Now I wish we were playing UAE next, so that we could have done the same thing with a win. As it stands,we're going to have to fight pretty hard until the last minute of our last group game to insure we finish on top of our group to avoid Japan in the quarters.

Saudi Arabia needs only a tie to qualify for the next round?

I thought they got some help from ref today. Their secon goal involved a hand touch

I agree, even the red card given to NK was abit harsh.
But, overall hey deserved the victory, in fact they could've scored a few more. NK was in complete disarray.
