I think the refereeing was consistently bad for the first Iran game. I thought there were no issues in the first Australia game.

No, actually it is a request of IFF to AFC to avoid Arab refs when Iran is playing Arab teams.

Yes, it's strange. This has happened at least once before in this cup (SK wore white instead of their customary red against Kuweit(blue)). I don't really understand the rules behind it; it may be up for mutual agreement, but then why do both sides give up their primary colors?

In any case, I like TM in red and I think I read that interstingly there is a slight statistical advantge to teams wearing red.
