CQ's post-match comments posted yet? Basically saying Azmoun's injury seems to just be cramp and not a muscle tear so should hopefully be fine, if not for UAE, then for the knockouts.

Geltlemen and ladies , be patient.
Italians would have done same. Score a goal and kill time and forget taking risk. TM at least had 10 chances to score. 1 goal was enough. This is how CQ is and let's enjoy the victory after victory.
The cup is not about entertainment of every fan, but about victory, As long as CQ is defeating Arab, korea, and everyone else, it does not matter if the score is 1-0 or 10-0.

what would be the point of winning one game 8-0 and losing the next.
I am happy where we stand and it will only get better.

We controlled the game. It wasn't like we were lucky. What do you guys want a win or entertaining 4-3 loss?

            ANDO of course!
Deserved. And no comment on Masoud.
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

He hasn't beaten anyone yet in tournament football except for these 2 victories which while not bad were very underdone. He hasn't convinced me yet he has put a side together that can win the cup. Iran can play better than this and for me his tactics are about getting a goal and defending it if possible. Very short-sighted IMO and probably lacks a bit of faith in his players dominating the opposition.

I feel against UAE we are gone see a few changes, his gone try Ansarifard, Rest Ashkhan and have azmoun instead and masoud will also be on the bench.

I would hope he gets adventures and starts with two forwards, but that wont happen

What I noticed was Reza was really bad and selfish today. If he plays another garbage game then Jahanbaksh needs to start instead of him no escuses. And ladies and gentlemen this is the result of what happens when you play in Arab leagues! You drop in form and you suddenly decline..

You are jumping to conclusions here, prematurely if I may add. How do you know that his poor performance is related to his transfer to a Kuwaiti club? This seems far-fetched, given that there are simpler and much more plausible explanations available. Couldn't it be that he was simply trying to regain his starting position and a as a result was a little overzealous?

Because he was not like this before the world cup and most Iranian players that went to arab leagues had a serious decline in form afterwards.. I could think of a lot of ex for you... Ex Karimi, Mobali, Kazemian and many more. Your just making excuses because Reza is one of your favorite players.. But unfortunately you and others dont seem to realize we cant keep making little mistakes in the AC or our opponents are going to end up beating us in our matches!

It was a very clinical and well planned performance.
Qatar didn't have one good Chance. If the final touches from TM were better, TM would Have scored many more goals.
Best players for me: Azmoun, Teymourian, Dejagah, PAG and Hosseini.

The ref was poor I thought. The Qatari who elbowed PAG in the face should have gotten a red card.

Plz don't compare Gucci and Azmoun both are great strikers and both deserve to be in the starting lineup.

Gucci did nothing wrong today! Thats how you put pressure on the opponent and force them to make mistakes, next time they will be in.

Glad to see that we now have 2 super-deadly strikers in TM.
