Arab teams in the Asian Cup have played 11 matches vs non-arab teams. The have lost 10 and won 1 (saudi vs. North Korea) vs arguably the second-worst team in the Asian Cup after Palestine.

The abovementioned is not that surprising. However it is surprising that there has not been a single match that has ended in a stalemate yet.

I have a feeling that CQ will field a "reserve team" in the first half up until minute 60 and from then on, some important players might be subbed in if needed.

I think we will have the same defensive lineup as the first two matches but in attack we will see players like Jahanbakhsh, Rafiei and Azmoun instead of Dejagah, Shojaei and Gucci. We might even see Amiri instead of Hajisafi. That is less likely though.

I really hope we play smart and beat this UAE team.

He has got to start rafiei in this game. The kid is a talent and this game we need to rest Masoud, so it can only make sense.

Surely we must beat the UAE even if Quieroz makes a few changes? Even if we rest Askhan and Sardar, surley he'll bring in Jahanbaskh and Gucci who are equally good replacements. We shouldn't have a problem beating UAE, its normaly Qatar and Bahrain we struggle with.

Iran will have a minimum of 4 changes in the games vs. UAE but we will still win 2-0

You'd never believe this guys, but UAE actually have a better record against Japan than they do against Iraq!!!

I don't know if that's going to play into their game plan, but if it does, they may very well be play their "B" team thinking that a well-rested "A" team will have a much better chance against Japan than an exhausted one would against Iraq!
