So you use a couple of games in the past to discredit my claim, wow. Nothing better to do right?
Actually, I've been following Team Melli since mid 90's when they beat saudi 3-0 and southkorea 6-2, and I just cant remember TM having trouble beating UAE, Jordan, Syria etc.. Bahrain and Qatar have always been our antagonists sort of.
PS. People with hyperactive imaginations are usually those who become the most successful in life. Also, gomsho!

According to the One World Sports commentator last night, Omar AbdulRahman had offers from Dortmund but chose to play for Al-Ain because of a lucrative contract. He also stated that the reason that the Arabian countries have not performed well is due to their lack of European experience. He went on to say that it is because of the lucrative contracts that are offered in the Persian Gulf Leagues and because most players that HAVE gone to Europe failed to keep up physically.
I remember this was the case with Yasser Al-Qahtani of S.A. last Asian cup. He had a trial with Manchester City but lasted two training sessions and, after a rough challenge by a City Defender, chose to discontinue the trial.

I admit Omar Abdulrahman is a decent player but he needs to move to Europe to reach his full potential. Obviously staying at Al-Ain is not going to help him.
UAE can count themselves happy with such a gem..some rare moments I look down upon them, I wish we had a playmaker as good as Omar right now.
