first they fucked us by cancelling our friendly 24 hours before kick off and now this.i guess their preperation camp in qatar is bearing its fruits now they have really learnt how to behave. its a pitty that somewhat moderate and normal countries like India with a population of 1.2 billions or Indonesia with 240 millions dont manage to set up decent football teams. then we wouldnt have to trouble ourself with shitty tiny half wannabe countries like Palestine or Gutter. Its just amazing, if this report turns out to be true- wow- instead of impressing in a positive way and being happy that they can be part of an international tournament and to represent their country (or what u name it) in a good light, they are now practicing the old arab habit of coruptnes and unfairness. can these ppl also contribute somehow in a positive way to humanity or are they just created to cause trouble.

      yeah just keep complaining:

Firstly do you know that Iran did not provide visas to 6 of their players thus making the chance of a game minus 6 players impossible. It was Irans fault the friendly did not happen.

Second of all, until I hear a credible source translate the conversation I would not trust it. Being Iranian and hearing western media 'translate' Iranian comments has left me with no faith in this area.

If it has happened however I would think a stern chat and maybe ever a warning should go to whoever made the comment.

Finally......Why all the animosity to Palestinians? Do you guys even know any? They are good people and if you were at the game and saw their peoples happiness at just being there and then scoring a goal you would have been so happy.

Skip the arrogance boys. It kills me that people on this site think they have a rite to say who does and who doesn't deserve to be in a tournament. We cop so much abuse in the world for being Iranian so I would have thought you would understand a country like Palestines troubles, yet instead you become like the bully we have all come to hate. Pretty embaressing some of the comments on this site.

I stopped reading after the first sentence.

I am just saying don't judge the players and fans based on politics or their countries activities. We don't like to be judged for the exact same reasons.

Palestine's presence at this edition of AC certainly did more damage than any favor to the 4th. Tier Asian teams. AFC's idiocy once again has done it to deteriorate the quality of Asian football.

I am continuing to be embarrassed and especially by you cause you are judging a people for the crimes of their politicians and people in power.

If you fail to realise that is the very same thing us Iranians defend ourselves from on a daily bases then you need to open your eyes. An Iranian walks into a cafe in Sydney and holds people hostage and three people die from it. Are all Iranians bad? Thank god people in Australia are open minded and dont think that way. I would hate to live where you are.

You speak like a 15 year old who has never opened his eyes.

It's also a joke that Asia has 4 teams in the World Cup.
This, this and more of this. It's hilarious to see how people are so quick to take advantage of us going from tournament minnows to favourites in the space of six months.

Palestine have added a good story to this tournament and haven't actually been anywhere near as bad as their results indicate. If they hadn't replaced the manager who got them to the Asian Cup in the first place with someone who is quite clearly incompetent, they could well have qualified from the group, their downfall was simply in their defensive organisation as technically, they were just as good as Jordan and a host of other teams in this tournament.

Regardless, reading the Palestinian football forums, it's clear victory against Iraq means a lot to the nation and some dodgy twitter-based interpretation of a 5 second youtube video isn't sufficient evidence to start disrespecting countries like this.

You should be embarrassed by your own gullibility and simplistic reasoning. If anyone here sounds like a 15 year old it's you. The lack of Palestinian sympathy for us during the war and the green protests was not just restricted to their government. The Palestinians have always adored Saddam and continue to do so. They also didn't show the slightest gestures of sympathy toward our green protestors who were being killed and tortured by the same animals who flush our money down the toilet for the Palestinian cause despite ever increasing rates of poverty and unemployment in our own country.

We could have built modern schools and hospitals in every town in Iran with the money we've wasted in that godforsaken land. And what do our people get in return from Palestinians? Sympathy? Even the slightest sense of gratitude? or siding with the two entities that committed one atrocity after another against our people in the last 37 years?

                        Get a clue.

Begs a question of what the quality of future AC will be like when there is 8 more teams playing in it. I guess that means an easy 3 points to all teams rather than just one team getting lucky.

This is probably a plot to get Indonesia and India into the tournament to take the global audience to well over 1 billion from the 800 million they are estimating for the current tournament.

No worries mate. You keep judging people and keep the world a shit place while I hang out my with Jewish, Christian, Muslim and every other race of friends.

I prefer to live in my world then yours. I live in the most multi cultural city in the world. Also know as the worlds best city. So glad I don't have people like you around me.

On my way to the airport to go see our boys play tonight.

Conversation got a little more heated then I wanted and I apologise to everyone for that.

Good luck to our boys tonight

How the fvck did Palestinians taking which side during the Iran-Iraq war get connected to this discussion?
There are both normal, good people and bad people everywhere, can't believe we have to have such a discussion in the 21st century.
Xerxes I understand your point about Palestinians supporting Saddam and not us during the war, but who where has said that they are supporting Palestine?
I think the point Babak_Australia made, which is a valid one too, is that we should not generalize everyone, not everyone from Iraq, Palestine etc hates Iran.
If this was the case then iranians would have no friends but ourselves, we are pretty much one of the most hated nations in the world.
Sure you might dislike their nation, there are very few countries in the mid east that I like (actually none except for Iran), but do you hate every single one of the people who live there?

PFDC makes me feel like a 'bad Iranian' for having a friend from Iraq. lol

The one judging people is the one who keeps posting how "embarrassed" he is by others' comments just because they don't share his naive romanticized worldview.
