For sure they did. But he is still a very very good player. The way he moves and can cut out passes is extremely impressive.

Despite UAE having much more possession and much superior passing game, we created the most dangerous chances. PAG missed a open header, as did Azmoun. Jahanbaksh should have scored off a header too. But we won in the end.

Let's give credit to UAE, they played their part.

Frustrating game for all, but important thing we remain unbeatable, with 3 clean sheets. 3 different managers tried 3 tactics against us and none could beat CQ's.

Before I say anything about Iran I have to say hats off to UAE. They played a great game. They were well organized, they wasted time passing it about in the back (which is fair play) and they didn't grass roll. Omar is also a ridiculously amazing player. You can't take the ball from him and his passes especially over the top are world class.
I think we were a little lucky not to get a penalty against us at times.
I liked the ref although he had some errors.
Iran worked hard to the very last moment and well.. we won! I really thought though that we should have gone into a great attack earlier. We basically started to hustle in the last 5 mins.
Dejagah is a ridiculously amazing player.
