Errr yes it does. We just beat arguably the best West Asian side on the big stage with a weakened team, continuing to show world class tactical discipline and organisation at the back.

I'm all for intelligent and constructive criticism of our attacking aspects of the game but to say they don't deserve credit is embarrasing and unfortunately a view still shared by too many 'fans' even after all that CQ and this team have proven. We've realistically assured ourselves of a semi-spot (yes I know not to count chickens but such is our current level that I am that confident against Iraq) and a semi-final is a good performance for this side given all the obstacles they faced and our style is perfectly suited to facing South Korea/Japan who are technically superior to us.

Iknow, but read somewhere that single yellows will be forgiven, but not sure if accurate.

We should give UAE credit. Some people discounted them before the match but they proved worthy opponents and will give Japan a run for their money.

I was just thinking imagine we try that hard to win so we can avoid Japan, what if they lose to Jordan. LOL all our hard work would be put to waste.

If you call today's performance world class tactical discipline then I have no more to discuss. We couldn't finish 5 passes in a row during 90 minutes, and had Bezan Ziresh passes to our sole player in their opposition half who of course couldn't do anything. It is good to try to analyze the performance from a neutral point of view.
