Sardar is an amazing talent and he will no doubt be TM's shining star of the future and the backbone of the team for years to come.

However, what can we say about Gucci? The guy just has a knack for being at the right place at the right time. He is so calm and cool when in front of the net. He always delivers when we need it most. He is extremely efficient with his opportunities like a good striker should be. Thanks to him we now have a very reasonable path to the finals.

      Long live Gucci

Lol @ half the ppl here who said he shouldn't start because he plays in Kuwait and will lose form and now you're all praising him as he has proven you all wrong.

I said it from the day we found out about both Ashkan and Reza going to Persian gulf countries: these guys are NOT Iranian raised players. They have European work ethic, not the lazy Iranian ones that go to UAE and just go down the shitter. Reza is a warrior and hopefully he can repeat such gheyrati performances.

And also, I can't remember who the specific member was who asked me this: but someone questioned whether Reza would get demoralized and not want to play and lose confidence after being benched. I think this answered your question.

He was on fire. Usually Gucci is one confident and cool-headed player, but I have barely seen him going wild after a goal like that. Even when he scored vs. Korea back then he more or less kept his cool. Obviously Gucci wants the #1 spot badly, but he respects his teammate/competitor nevertheless. I love how he points the finger to Azmoun in one photo.

Overall a very important goal. Against Qatar he looked a bit frustrated, but that goal released all the pressure on him for now.
