I don't think there has ever been a major football tournament anywhere with very group finishing on 9/6/3/0 points.

I think that suggests that the gap in Asia is widening significantly with the bottom teams failing to take any points away even from the 3rd placed teams and similarly the 3rd placed teams unable to take points away from the 2nd or 1st placed teams.

Anyway, looking forward to the Iraq game - they're definitely the weakest team in the quarterfinals offensively, if not overall. But they did hold Japan to a single goal, so not an easy game by any stretch of the imagination.

The good news is that if the game goes to penalties (heaven forbid) we may actually win the penalty shoot-out for once!

Agree completely, but Japan had three shots on the post. The Iraqi defense was very shaky. It was also evident in the last 30 minutes in our friendly prior to the AC where CQ introduced dejagah, gucci and jB. The game was too fast for their defenders.

most of all I am happy that our players got some rest in the last round and we have a day more to rest than the Iraqis. The iraqis seemed fatigued today and fielded their strongest team.

We have everything in our favor. However Lets hope for the best and dont forget to respect our opponent.
