What scared me in this match , is :
1- yellow or red cards.
2- Pk , FK or Corners.
what makes me disappoint from TM , is :
1- slow counter attack , or slow preparation for the attack.
2- lack of support during the attack.
3- wrong positioning during the attack , FK , and corners.
4- wrong passing ( wrong place , wrong player , and wrong time).
5- not or less playing without a ball .
6- running with the ball ( slow ) , instead of passing ( speed).

But we do need to have a little more sense of urgency in offense in this game. We definitely don't want an exhausting 120 minute game or going into PK's (even though Iraq are probably the worst team in the tournament for that).
The saving grace is that we have already played them and CQ knows them well, so I think he'll be a little more comfortable going for a more pressing game and being adventurous with offense.

Some interesting stats about the game:
* Ben Williams has the 2nd highest card count per game out of all the refs in the tournament (5.5) and has handed out the most number of cards in a single game (8 in the Uzbek-Saudi game).
* The average attendance in Canberra Stadium has been only 10,580 per game - the lowest out of any of the stadiums in the competition!
* This is set to be the 1st sell-out game in Canberra Stadium and the 1st sell out game for TM in Australia so far.
* The stadium has also hosted the most number of games (6 and tied with 2 others), has produced the 2nd most number of goals (15) and is tied for 2nd place with the most number of goals / game, at 2.5.

- Yellow cards I believe get wiped out after the quarter finals as per the commentators of the Iran Qatar game.
Iran's Game Plan:
Iran will sit back give up position and allow Iraq to pass the ball around at will.Hope to score on a set piece.
Iraq's game plan:
If I am the Iraqi coach I will only focus on practicing defending set pieces.Hope to god my players can do something with the position and passing they are going to be allowed by Iran
Prediction: I know we beat them in the friendly with our younger players but this time it might not be surprising if it goes into extra time or PK.

Folks,
Don't get too cocky again. You're always doing same mistakes over and over and over (Undermining the opponents) how many times do you guys need to get disappointed, as result of your high expectations? There is o such thing as "We will sure win" not even against the weakest team. Mind you, Iran almost held Argentina to a goalless draw till the 90th minute, hell we almost beat them, we had damn better scoring opportunities to that extensions that all my non Iranian friends for weeks kept telling me "Damn man, you guys deserved to win and beat Argentina" now who in their right mind prior to that match would have remotely thought of an easy win by Argentina, people were bidding on whether or not Argentina will score more than 5 or less...
Iraq has never been an easy task for us, yes over the past decade we have won all our official encounters with them, but have we beaten them at ease and with no problem? absolutely not, most of ours wins have been a small 1-2 margin victories. So please lower your expectations, to save yourselves any possible disappointments, be it caused by bad performance, low ball possession, late winner goal, or even God forbid an unfortunate loss. Life goes on no matter what!
Having said all that, I believe on paper we will and we should won, but again nothing is guaranteed. Always hope for the best and prepare for the worst!
