What kind of question is this? lmao
Of course not, I don't think any logical Iranian would, atleast outside Iran. Too bad our backward and moronic government has translated Islam into not letting women go to stadiums. Only issue from my first hand experiences is that many weird guys go to the Azadi, trust me, a lot. They say stuff that's pretty nasty. I would separate men and women and see how that goes first.

My mom and sister would probably get offended, but my niece and my lady can hang with the rest of them and yell and cuss back.
Ahhhhhhh choice. It is such a simple thing to us living overseas. How people in power fail to give a simple 'choice' to their people is beyond me.

Like you I would not take my mum but I have seen some women at AFL ( a game only played in Australia) that have made me blush and they are with their children. HAHA sport really brings the height of emotion doesnt it??

It does make me happy that so many women who love football have had a chance to see their heroes play in person.

Is this a trick question? Are we trying to find a basiji in this forum?

You ask the question in the wrong way and are bound to get a biased. I don't support discrimination but I do support segregation of the sexes at a football game where Iranian men yell the dirtiest of things (in league games). However I think that for tm matches anywhere in the world, including iran, there should be no ban on women attending a match simply because Iranian men won't or are less bound to yell dirt chants and things.

you sir are part of the problem. this is called segregation buddy. again, choice is powerful thing. I don't want my girlfriend / wife to need your permission in order to hear cussing or to cuss

Having said that though the behavior and swearing at matches in Iran are just amazing and I have not witnessed them anywhere else in the world.

When I went to PP v SS a few years back and Nikbakht had just left SS the entire blue section (every single one of them....around 50,000 people) were chanting "Nikbakht K%$$ Nanat" I was dumbfounded. I have heard swearing by both sexes at sports before but a massive chant like that I have never seen.

So the question in my opinion should be......Even if they were allowed, would you want your mum, sister, wife, etc in that environment?
I would want my mum, sister (provided she is old enough to make such decisions), wife, etc to make that decision themselves.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

I am ashamed that we as a people allow our government to do this. I am ashamed that we as a people ban our women, and do not realize that women are smarter and stronger than men will ever be.

well, i cant convince you otherwise. Just saying that I wouldn't want my mom or anyone else to see a man at their lowest low cussing away the way they do. That being said I don't mean to suggest that it should be a law that prevents women from attending. I just don't support the idea of them attending WHILE Iranian men cuss in the stadiums.

This is the dumbest poll ever. No one living in the 21st century should ever support banning women from stadiums. Its an unjust, embarrassing, counter-productive, irrational law.

The decision of whether your mom will potentially subject herself to men cussing in a stadium should be her choice.

However, given the current environment, would I support my mother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin to go and sit amongst uncivilized men to watch the game? No, the sexual harassment alone would probably discourage them from going.
If an environment can be created for women to go watch games then I would support it 100%. I clearly don't want to see women and men separated in different sections..but maybe a family section would be appropriate.
Also we need more security guards at the stadiums to clamp down on unruly behavior then we can be civilized people.

i used to think it was ridiculous, then i actually went to some games..

I know this may be an unpopular opinion, but I think with the current situation in our stadiums, particularly for league games (TM games are a bit more tame), then ideally if women are allowed, it should be a separate section. I have been going to league games (mostly in azadi) over the past 5-10 years, and it's getting worse by the year. people are out of control, not just in cursing. the cursing is bad enough (we're talking nonsense k*r and k*s and chants like shove that red flag up your a** and the entire stadium shouting k*****rrrrrr when the opposition fans sigh at a close opportunity). this is just normal play.. if you ever see someone actually make a mistake it is literally out of control, people start combining curses that don't even make sense, just to swear.

People that are saying it should be womens' choice are not considering the environment. This is a country where sexual harassment, from "tikke andakhtan" to genuine physical harassment, is really common. in an environment that people lose control.. don't forget that people died IN A FREAKING STAMPEDE in the japan game. i can imagine so much going wrong.

so if things are to change, it needs to be slow and gradual. first step would be a heavily-guarded women's-only section. next would be a women's only section but then families can sit together in the men's section (similar to iranian cinemas). last would be full integration (similar to how it is in iranian comedy/music shows).

The only foreseeable reason for voting 'yes' would be as a consequence of the participant's latent homosexuality, manifesting as a desire to increase the number of penii in the stadium.
                            Thereby creating an absolute sausage-fest.

What are YOU going to do about it mate?

Living in your first world country and making such an unreasonable statement as though it is the peoples fault that things are the way they are. Should a woman be the first to go to the stadium and then get punished. These people work by fear and believe the fear of the power is very very real. I cant blame them. I wish it was different but I am old enough to know better.

I propose you be the leader and lead the country of Iran out of this funk they are in. All hail the saviour.

I go to Iran once a year and while things change. The one thing that doesn't is the power at the top.

I am born and raised in Australia and do not believe it is my right to judge the people of Iran for being in the situation they are in.

It's not about discrimination. I am not sure whether we should allow women joining stadium in Iran. We should maybe start with allowing them take seperate places from men. Because we all know how rude men would treat them.
