Lets take a moment to thank our players. if we are this tired and sad imagine how they feel. Look at the positives, we have another promising young player to add to the duo of JB & azmoun, Mr. Pouraliganji (who's headers remin me of Hashemian). Azmoun will or sure get some recognition after his goals. Reza is as hungry as ever, and Ando put on performance to remember. We had 3 clean sheets, we have a goalie who's confidence is admirable, a great RB in ghafouri. Masoud performed well, our captain played great, Hosseini solid as always. It wasn't fair guys, but take pride in our display of gheyrat, not many teams could do what we did, our unity is amazing. Merci bacheha.

Secondly, IFF to blame for not scheduling good friendlies. This ISIS occupied country managed to have 8 more friendly than us...

The other strange factor was Gucci's late appearance in 3 matches despite his GOAL AND OUR lone goal in UAE match!!! Yes. Azmoun scored today however in general he was not as effective as powerful Gucci. Azmoun gets injured with one semi hard clash while both Gucci and Dejagah makes others hurt

Yes. We won a friendly against this team with our B team and lost our AC match!!

Nevertheless, this team was united and had passion despite no attention and help from the federation...

And bad luck too. Two penalties of Iraqis were almost saved and missed but the luck again was on the other side..

We should all thank the team and focus on blaming the ref and in long term invest more on the new talents we discovered.

Younis mahmoud was awfully dirty, committing fouls and then falling to make it seem that he was fouled, I would have ejected him for such shit sportsmanship, but the rest of the team was alright. The ref was atrocious.

For those that don't blame the ref for an early sending off and blame CQ for "not making any improvement to Team Meli", I ask you a simple question, What do you think the final score would have been if we had finished the game with 11 men?

1-0 or 2-1 or 2-0
hard to tell.
But I'm not sure what you expect CQ to do with the team?
He is not the instructor at a football school to teach the players how to pass, trap, dribble and move without ball!
He has the pool of players that is available to him and if you are a real REALIST you'll agree that this crop of players are not the same quality as the past 18 years. He actually brought a couple of gems to add to the pool (Ashakan and Guci).
His job is more playing them with strategy and get the most out of them.

Can you argue that this set of players can be coached by some one else and get better results? who? how?

Our team is better than Iraq because of CQ!
You take him away and we will struggle with 11 men in 90 minutes.
Losing with a arguably a top two level Iranian side is something to moan about, but this team made it through by playing like a team, not by the the superiority of the squad!
Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you get the unlucky.
We were not lucky today and Iraq was a respectable opponent.
Please treat these people with proper respect that they deserve!

1 - Did you even watch the game???
2 - Did you see the unfair red card against Pooladi???
3 - Did you notice that the ref had many chances to give some Iraqis players there second yellow card but he choose not to???
4 - Did you notice Iran came back twice with just 10 players in more than 80 min because the Iraqi team SUCKED BIG TIME and didn't deserve to win???
