Folks, I am proud of our boys. Despite having played 2/3 of the match with a man down, we played courageously, coming back twice and in the extra time is to be admired and need a full round of applause.
We've just been an unlucky team when it comes to penalty shootouts, but again it's part of the game and we've got to accept and proceed.
Please stop racial slur and focus on the game itself. If anything it was the referee's mistake which caused all this mess, but again, Refs are also human being and may make mistakes as well.

Furthermore it's not CQ's fault that Mr Williams' parents allowed him to become a referee... pls show me a team which was able to return twice while playing with 10-men! it's not like Iraq is sibsamini, they are a good side and it was clear that it will be tough against them!TEAM MELLI UNTIL THE END

CQ is not a magician and he and Team Melli did well under the circumstances!
But more importantly, we have to improve our domestic league or the quality of players that we need for the future is questionable at best!
They have to make each team play three under 21 players in each agme, so that our next genration of stars get a chance to grow!
Vouroa Ghafouri, Amiri and Ebrahimi should not hve reach 26 before getting noticed.
Our Omid team and under 19 should be nurtured .
We just can't lose our talents or we are bound to end up out of the top 4 for sure!

We have a talented and naturally attacking squad, the likes of Azmoun, Jahanbakhsh, Gucci, Dejagah etc.. would all do great with an attacking strategy! If CQ is not willing to speak with IFF and change his tactics at least against Asian opponents then I am not against a change of coach. We lost to the ref today but this defensive style is too risky and relies on many things including luck, it is dependent on numerous external factors and this is not good nor it will improve our football. You heard it here first, we need some change IMO.
Whether it's the ref or not, we lost in QF of the Asian Cup, and finished 4th in our WC group. This style is not working to me. We need results FFS, not heroic prowess. I have enough of Heroic prowess's, we always are happy when we go out showing some gheyrat while all our other Asian opponents are progressing and reaching knockout stages in World Cups, even Saudi Arabia, we are just sitting here being happy with almost drawing Argentina and winning 1-0 against Qatar!!! When was the last time we won the Asian Cup? We are not having results, we need results!!

This is a conspiracy against Iranian football. And don't tell me I'm Iranian, I'm Kuwaiti and I follow Iranian football. Crossing off Mohammad Nouri, Ghassem Hadadifar, Mohsen Mosalman, Payam Sadeghian, Iman MobAli, Gholam Reza Rezaie, Mohammad Reza Khalatbari, Mahdi Sharifi, Rahman Ahmadi, and calling the likes of Mehradad Pouladi, Masoud Shojaie, Javad Nekunam, and Ali Reza Haghighi is something beyond our understanding. This is a betrayal at it's best.

3 - Did you notice that the ref had many chances to give some Iraqis players there second yellow card but he choose not to???
4 - Did you notice Iran came back twice with just 10 players in more than 80 min because the Iraqi team SUCKED BIG TIME and didn't deserve to win???
Dont be such a blind idiot! is my answer to you!
And you are the idiot for unessessarily call me an idiot.
Mind your attitude buddy!
So what if The ref was against us and what does that have to do withthe iraqi team??
Did you watch the game? Do you call our team respectable?
Who wasted the most about of time?
Who kicked the keeper first and went grass rolling first? Pouladi if you need a reminder!
Did you see the Iraqis kick the ball out seconds after our player fell on the floor in pain!
Or is it your bias that prevents you from seeing it from a neutral perspective?
If you want to deny the existence of luck, that's fine, but it is part of the game and we were not lucky at the end.
