An interesting analysis of Iran - UAE (video)

This analysis is a good answer to those who have spent their valuable time recently admiring how good UAE is and/or what kind of football genius is in Omar A.
If this UAE team was that good, they would have had something to show for it. They have won no major tournament - Failed in both recent West Asian games and Persian Gulf Cup. And if this Omar was that good, he would have already been part of a European team. But he is not! ...scots usually snatch a good one when they see it?
To me UAE is such an incomplete team. Yes, their players came out of a football academy where they learned good passing skills, but football is not just about passing the ball (that game is called dodge ball). Football is about the ability to create chances, score goals and win games. They either skipped that class or had already reached their maximum learning capacity (it was over their natural talent level). The former is a better explanation.
Japan will trash them just like we did ..

They are no Barcelona!
They are barcelona against Maldives and Nepal, but they lack quality to attack and break down a solid Asian team.
If they had five Abdurahman's, then they could play Barcelona of Asia!
They played it safe to get tie or a goal if they get lucky, but faild at the last minute!
If they needed a win, the possession stats would be more like 55% v 45% in their favor since TM doesn't play possession anymore.

But thrashing a team is by scoring 3 or 4+ goals against them!
We managed to score against UAE in 91 min by some luck!
It's not like hit the post 6 times and the keeper had 16 save and only one went through!
We struggled against them quite a bit.

This is a great analysis.
It also shows modern football is about efficiency!!!
If a team has 70% ball possession (UAE) but has far less shots on target, freekicks, cornerkicks, and loses the game, then they were ineffcient and counterproductive!
Whereas the team that won the game with less possession but better stats (corner, shots on target) played more efficient!
Its not our game to keep the ball long and play around. CQs game plan is to let the opponents attack you and open up spaces, so when they lose the ball they get counter attacked! Surely when you counter attack you dont play the ball around but go straight to business = less possession.
What matters is you win the duels, you are more dangerous overall and get the result!
Of course, if you are Brazil or Spain or FC Bracelona you dont like this style. But when you are Italy or Inter Milan, you love this style.
its a matter of taste, but for more a matter of efficiency!
If we are efficient this way, then I LOVE THIS GAME PLAN!CHECK OUT OUR FORUM RULES HERE: http://www.persianfootball.com/forums/faq.php
