I dont think it will be a problem, quiet the contrary, Williams will want to prove that he is a good ref and our coach was wrong! He will be impartial and will do a good job!

Iraq don't like him, apparently he sent off Ali Adnan before for jumping early in a free-kick wall, something like that.

Anyhow, no excuses, and it's better than having an arab ref..

CQ has him already under pressure to perform well by criticizing him..! we'll see if the 3k$ he splashed on the AFC Fine was well spent..!?

I think he will do a decent enough of a job .! I'm usually happy with a Aussie or Japanies ref

Again this proves CQ Intelligence. By criticising him williams is going to be careful to prove that he is good at his work.

Arab refs from any country can not officiate games of Arab teams vs non arabs anymore, the Arab ref will come in the semis

Yeah, I'm sure he is out to avenge Melbourne '97.

IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

As long as we don't give him a reason , he will be fair! The best thing is stay cool, stick to the game plan and win the game. That's how professionals think and behave!

If any ref pulls an Argentina on us, I think something will die inside me.

To be honest, I dont think that he was that bad despite two bad calls which was basically the error of the linesmen. He didn't blow too many freekicks and the game had free flow without room for Bahraini grassrolling. We were lucky that Haghighi didn't get penalised for "bulldozing" the annoying Bahraini forward in our own penalty box.

Hr didn't do much wrong, apart from not stopping the elbowing, which Queiroz complained about.

But he kills the game with his decisions. Not saying that we play a fluent game but he could manage better in my opinion.
On the other hand.....i wouldn't want to be a referee in such a game tbh.
