Problem was, Kuwaiti player was not as fast as Gucci.
Iran just has a killer instinct when it comes to Korea. Korea is also having a scoring problem for the last several years. Iran also has a scoring problem, but not against SK.
It's very likely that Iran will win again if we meet them. I don't know what evidence you have otherwise other than superstition.
Iran has a killer instinct when it comes to Korea ? How so ? Just because we managed to win the last 3 games ? If we had a Head to Head statistics with Korea like the one we have with UAE,Maldives,Iraq then you may be right but it is really a even contest.

Funny that you talk about superstitution while you yourself are a gamble supporter... well in some way as CQ strategy is mostly gamble (defend, defend and win from a goal or two through counter attacks.). I call CQ a succesful gambler but like all gamblers they will lose everything just in one turn.

Mark my words, we will not beat Korea if we face them one time again. This is a Japan-South Korea final once again... which is no surprise for me as all the other remaining teams are garbage (yes our nonexisting offence is garbage due to CQ attitude). The one other team that i would not really call garbage is Australia who can be deadly if Tim Cahill is in form.. but even they are still not competent enough to take on the superior East Asian football.

Truth is hurtful, i know. But we can learn from it and move forward and who knows maybe one day the East Asians will be like Palestina,Kuwait for us.

But like my friend AK79 said... lets beat Iraq first lol... i even doubt we can overcome them.

LOL.....I am truly baffled!!! why would Iranian opposition need to fear TM. All they have to do is to higher some soccer experts from this forum to relax them! I have had numerous encounters with Korean professionals and not even one believe that the TM is the same emotional team they used to see out there. TM is a force to avoid this time around and they all know it.

        Go TM

just wanted to inform you that your opinion is just your opinion and has nothing to do with the "TRUTH". well japan is in my opinion shoulders above all other asian nations but australia sk and iran are all on the same level !! If we lose to iraq it would suprise everyone. but SK vs TM is 50/50.Japan should walk through to the finals because I still think the only team that can beat japan is TM because of our ugly defensive gameplan.

Nothing to lose. If Iran loses it will be one lose in 4 games. We are 4 times better

Another gamble supporter. So what part of what i said was not the truth ? That we resort to ugly counter attacking style which is very risky ? That we can lose everything we achieved in just one game ?

Instead of bringing arguments in how we can make our team stronger, efficient and powerful you resort to stuff like ''keep your opinion for yourself'' which basically is really the same as ''just wanted to inform your opinion is yours only'' lol.

Grow up people, lets mature as people and nation.

Honestly our 3 wins against Korea wont mean anything unless we can finally eliminate them from a tournament. At least they had to play 120 minutes today and hopefully we beat Iraq in regular time and go into our match against Korea more refreshed than the Koreans.

IMO it doesn't make sense to discuss whether or not we are able to beat South Korea - especially now that we're still not even qualified for the semi-finals. One thing's sure: South Korea is definitely the better team, BUT: everything's possible in football. Argentina is 100x better than us and we still almost beat them in Brazil. Therefore, we can whether win the whole cup or even lose against Iraq and fly back home tomorrow. Let's just wait, hope and see.

Those wins meant a lot to a lot of us. We qualified to world cup because of those 2 wins.

We often talk about how we've beaten Korea three times in a row but those victories were more satisfying and important for us than they were devastating for Korea.

In contrast, Korea has knocked us out of three tournaments in the last couple of years (AC2007, WC2010, AC2011). Should we progress to the semi-finals, the desire for getting even should be much stronger on our end (especially for players like Nekounam, Ando, and Hosseini who have been through it all).

I said it before, I don't have any favorites aside from Iran but Korea is the one team I'd like to see eliminated.

Too bad. I was hoping Uzbeks would win because then we had a shot for the final. If that header from 2 meter away had gone in would have been great. But South Korea will beat us this time for sure.

For those who watched the game, how did S.Korea play? Were they impressive? How do you rank our chances of beating them?

I have a co-worker that is korean and he said that as soon as the game was over, everyone in their blogs were talking how they will be rooting for Iran tonight cause they want to kick are arrseees very badly...LOL He said pretty much Iran is like playing in final for koreans right now....they hate us and want to teach us a lesson...hehe...I could see why they would feel that way...From what i watched, Koreans are fast as hell...either us or Iraq better slow down the game and not let them getting into this fast paced game mode.
