It took a complete collapse in the Uzbek defense, combined with two grave defensive errors in a row for Korea to score, so I'm totally fancying our chances against them - as if winning 3 times in a row wasn't enough!

And of course we have to focus on the Iraq game first, but guys please don't think that Korea have the upper hand on us when it comes to revenge. If anything, we're the ones who should be seeking revenge in this game for the last few Asian Cups!

Positives from this game for TM: Korea still struggling BIG time with counter-attacks and scoring. Unless TM practically hands them a goal (like the Uzbeks did), I can't see them pulling a miracle against us.

UZ chose to play for a tie and win by PK. It went wrong. However this South Korea is well prepared to go all the way.

Korea needed LOTS of chances to finally score the first on a huge defensive blunder by the Uzbeks.
Uzbekistan's defense lost focus and paid for it. Iran's defense is superior. After the goal Korea's superior fitness and psychological boost from the goal eventually led to the second goal which was based on a superior run by #20 Cha Rodi. Up until the first goal it could have gone either way, but utlimately Korea was the better team and deserved the win.

The ref did a good job.

Iran now has to beat Iraq and not take the win for granted. If successful we will meet Korea once again and have nothing to be scared about. I believe Iran still has the edge over Korea, because of a) a superior defense and b) our forwards needing a lot less chances to convert. But by no means does that mean Iran could take a win against Korea for granted either.

Iran has to take one game at a time and the further we go, the harder it'll get and that's just fine if we want to be champions!

Korea look dangerous, as always. I feel our latest wins over them have been for our own survival, rather than damaging them. We won 2 must wcq against them, but they still qualified. Oh and before last asian cup we defeated them in a friendly but lost when it mattered. This time we won again before the tournament, i hope we win if we meet them again...
