That's probably not legal according to FIFA rules, but he should've subjected himself to FIFA punishment. Instead, he took the easy way out, gave Pouladi a red-card, and sacrificed the happiness of 70 million, just to save his own ass.

Not a man. Not a real man.
There were 3-4 Iraqi players begging for second yellow and he just refused to give it. Clearly shows it was intentional. Don't know if he was bought or ust on a personal vendetta, either way, I hope he'll be haunted by that.

This was one of the most clearly intentionally ruined games. He gave like 8 yellows to individual iraqi players but would refuse to eject, despite their heavy fouling and shirt pulling, I hope korea embarrasses them and sends their hollywood capitan to retirement. I also hope this refs career is ruined.

well the agenda of Williams can be easily explained:

Arab Football Association at its best!
        TEAM MELLI UNTIL THE END

Don't know if this was posted earlier in another thread, but here is Mark Bosnich's perspective on the matter alongside a couple of Aussie commentators who are familiar with this ref.

                  dameshun garm!
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

We know it happens every once in a while and I assume we all know why!?
IFF doesn't have clout at AFC and that's why our complaints always fall of willfully deaf ears!

Do you guys think Kafashian can go in there and convince anyone to do anything?
He is a joke and our footballing system is a joke.
An expensive manager is only a bandage on an infected wound, it won't fix it.

We need to do what Japan did with their football and rise above the lowly competition.
BTW, they scored the equalizer as I expected.

None of you realize what really happened
                          1-Australia loses to south Korea
2-An australian ref is set to judge Iraq Iraq game the way he did
3-Australia and South Korea will be in Final.
This way they help the host to win the games.

I am devastated by such move and declaration of war by this biased garbage.

WE GOT ROBBED, WE GOT FKKIN ROBBED, SUCH A DISGRACE.

LOL to those who said Australia's entrance in AFC is a good news : they put once spot for them for WC (we didn't qualify for 2010, even if thier presence isn't directly the cause, the draw would have been different). And now they sent us their incompetent f1lthy referee to revenge from 1997.

Someone was saying that we should take it easy on Williams because referees get sad and take their life. Sorry, but when you do a shit job, people are going to talk shit. He's apparently a notoriously shit ref, so he should either retire or hang himself. Those are the two options when you completely suck at your job. I'm pretty sure that outside of Arab countries, Ben Williams is a walking joke. He should do the right thing and retire and move to Iraq and start a sheep farm.

2 hours later and I still can't believe what actually happened... unbelievable scenes.

Why do they have out for us?

Just imagine if that Serbian SOB called a penalty for Iran, how much joy we wouldve been in.

On top of that, this fucking Australian who isn't good enough to ref an A league game screws us over like that.

The game bylaws should be changed, its time to get modernized. There's no way a ref should be able to have all that power.
