You just can't be serious dude.
Even the australian commentators said a lot "controversal decisions". And i am not talking about the red card.
Are you sure you watched the same game and not the robot finals?
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

^ Very good point, Why are refs from the host allowed? they could have been making their lives easier?

We have the technology to see if the referee made a correct call instantly after a foul or dive is made, why not use it? why is FIFA so against it?
Most people like football and don't want the shit you have to put with in American Gridiron. Too many stops and BS video calls.

The Iraqi goalie pushed you a little bit and you fall down so hard as if Mike Tyson has punched your lights out. The only problem is that other referees don't have the balls to consistently card players for such acting. Brave to Ben Williams.
handing out cards doesn't make you brave. Only a weak ref resorts to yellow cards to take control of a game. This fool should be banned.

oh hey how come sattar zare got red card in AC04 for the exact same thing in the opposite situation?

ben williams walked away after giving him the second yellow. he clearly didn't remember he already had a yellow. it was a mistake and instead of standing up and doing the right thing and consulting with his linesman and taking it back, he pus*ied out and then gave him the weakest red card i've likely ever seen in my life. brave? more like coward.

Neither challenge was a yellow card, the first is obviously not a yellow from the replay ( Iraqis commited about 20 of such fouls), and the second is certainly not a yellow. The only reason im not that mad is because its AFC asian cup, we proved that we can fight with a man down, we proved that we can score multiple times under pressure, and that we will never give up, Iraq was clearly not good enough to win a game with 100 minutes of being a man up, what a shit team, and capitan younes would have a great careerin hollywood with his acting from minute one, shameful demeanor from a captain.

For those that don't blame the ref for an early sending off and blame CQ for "not making any improvement to Team Meli", I ask you a simple question, What do you think the final score would have been if we had finished the game with 11 men?

The kind of talk Iranian defeatists love repeating.
Let's say you're right - at the very least the goalkeeper should also have been carded.
No ref anywhere would give a yellow card for that especially if the player already had a yellow.
                          F*** that ref.

To those saying Pouladi deserved a yellow card for diving they're wrong. If there was complete simulation, yes; if there was no contact whatsoever and he fell to the ground you have a point but there was unneeded physical contact.

The real reason why he gave that red card given the situation was that he was too focused on getting his head out of his ass he forgot he booked pooladi aleady and when Iraqi players went ape shit, he realized it and then red carded him. Makes me furious because you know he would not have given the red card if he knew. Mistake by him, cost us the semis.
