Ref screwed us today, but my opinion was always that this team is not made for defense. With players like Dejagah, Azmoun, Jahanbakhsh, Nekounam etc.. we should be an attacking team as these players play attacking football naturally.

I don't know I would like us to be an attacking team from now on in WCQ, we have to turn the page and start a new chapter. Looking overall, CQ qualified but went out as the last team in the WC, eliminated in QF of Asian Cup against Iraq, we have not improved anywhere whatsoever. I want change.

We could dominat the game more. But it wouldent turn into anything.
When you se Japan, their players have a first touch, dribling and movement our players lack.
Since 2006 we havent got any possesion kind of midfielder specialy in central of the field (when Zandi didnt play).
in 2006 we had at least Karimi who could keep the ball.
Today almost 10 years after we have the same central midfielders. One Anchor and one hard working player.
in 2006 we had more pace and flair likes of Mahdavikia, Karimi, younger Shojaei ore Zandi.
When you have this kind of team, you use 11 hardworkers, train them well in camps and count on the team.
If we want other style, we have to start to produce some other kind of players.

Its a travesty CQ plays this type of football with such raw talent at his disposal but as you will see a lot of fans are happy 1-0 victories against low level opposition. They then have the audacity to say TM is the "best team in Asia" despite never beating Japan or Australia. Its a weird world some live in.

Carlos was 1 nil up and was unable to coach his way to victory. The team was disjointed and he couldn't pull it together because he couldn't put the red card out his mind. The fact some players had to man handle him into the dugouts to control him says the guy is not a professional and it showed with his lack of ability to shut the game out.

If this was a vatani coach, after we go down 2-1 NO WAY do the players fight and claw their way back!!! The players love their coach and if we want to develop we need CQ but we need to support him with funding and also moral support!

I have followed TM since 1997 and i have never seen us play as defencive as we did since CQ took over.. He complains alot saying ts lack of friendlies, our players are not good or blames the referee. Dude its your own stupid tactics that makes us play like this... All respect to all iranian fans but this AC was a fail for us... We had to go to the semis

Sorry man but I heard the same type of attitude before with others at the helm especially Branko. The team needs someone to play natural attacking football not a 1-0 park the bus results whore.

We played well until the stupid red destroyed us mentally and tactically. Had that not have happened Iran would not have conceded and would have won 2-0 at least.

I'm very very disappointed in the result like all of you, but I'm already looking to the future. The way we play is outrageous, and I can confidently say we have regressed since the World Cup. I don't like hearing the lack of prep excuse, because weak sides have given us trouble in this tournament. Vaghan sharmavar bood in bazi, and our performance in the past 4 games has been disgraceful.
CQ needs to change his tactics, because playing defensively wont get us any where in asia.

I'm reading that Iran played well, but we actually did not. This is not emotion speaking, I'm disappointed but calm. We do well in the air, but can't keep a ball down for more then 15 seconds. I hate to say it, but at least there is 1 member who is always spot on with his TM analysis, Doctor Doom.

I completely agree with your post. This is the reality. I dont want to blame CQ for this loss because we were playing really really good in the first half. Main reason for the loss was Pooladis stupid dive. I dont even know why...

I'm watching the rerun. I'm being reminded on how much passion both sides played, especially during overtime. It feels good to watch the excitement after each of the goals were scored. This is truly the most exciting match in the Asian Cup so far.
