Our players can't even flop professionally to be convincing!! Even our cheating moves are amateurish and idiotic!
Not that I put the entire blame on the lad, as such skewed refereeing was to be expected. But come on. Not this way.
Unless the yellow was for him leaving his foot there after the keeper had collected the ball.
In which case, the flop had nothing to do with it.
But even then, 6 to a half dozen refs wouldn't give a yellow for this. Especially if the player is already on a yellow. Moreover when it is during the first half, the likelihood of a ref issuing a card is extremely rare.
But the way this aussie whipped the card you'd know he was itching to take it out.
Removing a threatening team, to make less obstacles for Australia's campaign was incentive enough for him. And AFC was absolutely wrong on picking these refs (Faghani included) for these games.
