For those pointing unfair comments at the best thing that happened to Iran and its Football (CQ), perhaps you don't have to wait too long before he resigns. In his post match comments he has already said that there are issues he cannot talk about! my guess is that he has realized that when it comes to Iran the result of the game is not all decided on the pitch!

You may now get your Vatani coach and we shall meet again.

Queiroz should stay but I'd like to see more possession and attacking play

It took 80+ minutes with 1 man more and a penalty shoot out after 3 comebacks to eleminate us and some here blame CQ?
IRI's politics is no different than handling a pressure cooker ..... As the pressure builds up, you slowly let the steam out just a tad bit so that you don't see overflow, and once the pressure from below is less, you put the lid down again and raise the temperature.

Whatever we say, CQ will prepare even better come WCQ 2018. I'm just getting a little tired of this 'lack of preparation' problem that is always brought up. It needs to be dealt with.

Lionel Khalatbari for a Player-Manager role. It's the logical decision.

UAE beats Japan on Penalties and now on the verge of a final. With umpteen number of friendlies behind them and good performances, CQ and his tactics beat a potential champion.

this doesn't mean anything, nor does it mean we are better than Japan.
I want CQ to stay, atleast till the WC 2018

if we didnt have 10 man, we would of win by a good margin! CQ is the man and we the fans as iranians have to bomb IFF for his stay. we have to show our anger to AFC by Emailing and calling them.

where in the fking world do you see such stupid decision to put a referee, which the coach of one of the 2 teams has files an complain against him.. still being picked to decide an important match like this??? fuck afc!!!

91% supporting the coach after a bitter tournament exit. I have never been so proud of this community.

With Queiroz we will shit on AFC's head in WCQ again. Against all odds.

I just cant figure out why CQ seems like a god for most of our forum members ? Is it just because he is our first foreign coach with a 'name' ??
The likes of Japan, S.Korea or Iraq also had big coaches with big names and they didn't hesitate to fire them?!

With CQ in charge we play ugly football and heavily rely on luck to win our matches (how did we make it to the world cup? how did we manage to win our group games in AC?).

Sorry MR Jaan, I too wish CQ will stay but for success in WC18 there will always be outside forces that will bar Iran from success. we saw that against Argentina (Penalty) and today against a ref that blatantly claims he had forgotten that Pouladi had already received a first yellow, yet he goes on allowing Iraqi players to play rough and get away with it.........

Perhaps you should ask why so few are against CQ and don't like him, his principals and his tactics instead of why so many love him to bits......?

CQ should only be replaced if there is a better high profile alternative. I don't think Iranian players will respect any coach who is not as equally accomplished.
