Its been 40 years since Iran won the Asian Cup. How many games (not including Asian opponents) has Iran won in its history even in friendlies? I think its less than 5 with the best of them the USA. You reckon that's "corruption" or symptomatic of something else?

We beat Russia about 3 years ago... Also, we beat many African opponents, and many North American/2nd tier Euro teams between 1998-2007.

So yes, please tell us your point again? The guy whose team had won 1 game in a year heading into the AC, and was lucky to avoid Japan and Iran. Japan had a bad day, and we got raped by Ben Williams, so yeah, you guys had an easy path to this cup.

Your only tough opponent was Korea who beat you the first time you played...
