We lost to the REF and NOT to the Iraqis!! Lets be a more civilized race and stop the rascist remarks! Iraq played their entire guts out and still couldn't beat a 10 man demoralized, Iran team in official time.

What broke our back was the REF who should be banned for life as he killed the whole mojo of the entire Asian cup and Im sure cost Australian FA millions in lost revenue from thousands of Iranian Fans that could have otherwise flocked to the stadium to see their team in the semis and possibly in the finals!

Hang on, we lost to an incompetent referee who issued unnessary cards out of personal hate and not issued cards to Iraqi players when they pushed pouladi, went in to tackle and fouled on our players, incapacitated Haghighi deliberately before penalty kicks by injuring him. Continuously harrassed the referee to make rush decision, smiled and congratulated and clapped for one another when they helped send pouladi off. You still call this fair? Just because one criticises through observation, some people label it racism.
At most get your facts right, at least watch the match again.

Much like any other team in their circumstances, playing a beast of a team like Iran, Iraq played a hard and physical match. We lost, unreasonably. But right now all I can see is a whole bunch of sore losers. Accept defeat, and look at it as an opportunity to grow. We have to build such a strong and powerful team that not even a corrupt ref can eliminate us. As many have said, We should look forward to wc 2018 instead of dwelling on the past. Despite how much many of us might hate "arabs" and their mentality, we need to show maturity and not stoop down to "their level" with these bigoted comments.

I completely agree with the realist. We did lose to an incompetent referee, and there is no wrong in criticizing through observation but when you label a group of people as inferior and talk about them as if they're scum of the earth thats when you cross the line. They may have cheated during this game, they may always cheat against us but that doesn't mean all Arabs are cheaters and filthy by default. Maybe the AFC does have agenda against us, but that doesn't mean you can insult all Arab people. That's just wrong. The Iranian regime is twisted in all kinds of ways as well, that doesn't mean all Iranians are lying cheating scum. You wouldn't tolerate judgement of your own character based on the regimes actions, don't do so about others.

I definitely feel like I sympathize with your perspective, it just really irks me to see all this anti-arab sentiment. History has shown they don't like us, but we need to prove to be the more civil of the two and not stoop down to their level.
