If anyone is feeling threatened by Australia, and potential loss of WC berth - then I ask them to please stop requesting for Iran to leave AFC for EU.

In EU, we may not get the light of day for many major sporting events for many years to come (not that I think that would even happen in the first place). Just seeing many members keep suggesting that Iran go to the EU zone.

This is what needs to happen in my opinion:

1.Let all Arab teams separate from AFC,
2.Create a new Qualifying Zone for them,
3.Give them the minimum spots (0.5) and let them face a South-American team in the play-offs,
4.Be done with.

i was against australia from the first moment, because of World Cup Spots is Asia. and to be honest, it is really right, they just come to Asia, to qualify for World Cup and even take asian cup of us and also seems to win it now, despite not being a true or strong football country in my eyes.

All in all i can understand arabs, even a logical iranian look to this:

2) Collect Russia, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Cyprus, Azerbaidschan, Kaschastan (probably also Moldavia, Ukraine, Greece) and creat East Europe and Central Asian Confederation with Bangladesch the most eastern-side of this Confederation. And East Asia should merge with Ocenia. Give each Confederation 5 fix spots for the World Cup and 11 in total with an inter-continental playoff between east vs. west...i think 11 out of 32 WC spots for all this countries is fair, probably even 12 spots...

12 is probably a little bit too much, yes, but 4.5 asia + ofc 0.5 = 5 and i think with of all that nation i meantioned and the arabs still staying, we should at least double the number of spots...

I would take Australia over any other Asian teams, including Japan and S. Korea. Those countries uniting to kick Australia out, better improve their own football and start being a wuss.

It's unfortunate and bizarre that we never get the chance to play them, They have been in Asia since I believe 2007, yet we have never been grouped with them, nor have had even one friendly match. So weird!

Why should they not remain. Australia has been awesome for Asia and as the number 1 team in Asia we should not be worried about anyone.

In that case bring back Turkey and Israel and our qualification gets harder.

I agree with Nader. The best solution is to have Oceania join AFC so that both continents have a total of 5 full spots for the WC without the headache of intercontinental playoffs.

I fully agree with you. IFF should start the paperwork to join UEFA right away. Iran will never progress in Asia, and won't be treated fairly either.
