I honestly can't remember when Daei ever criticized CQ. He's generally had a very good relationship with him. Every once in a while you'll see photos of them together at some dinner.

Nokhodi jaan, I don't know whether to call it "criticism" or not (nowaydays it's almost blasphemy to even say "Balaye cheshme Carlos abroost", let alone criticizing, even if it's constructive) but I do remember reading the typical Iranian nagging of "When I was the TM coach they didn't do this and that for me and now they are". You know, the typical nagging and playing the victim Iranians are good at and in which Daei is an expert.

I think most, if not close to all IPL coaches have had some kind of a "criticism" about how the league was managed at times, like closing it down for so long or demanding players to be joined in camps while still busy in other competitions (ACL) etc. Krancjar was one of CQ's biggest critics when it comes down to these aspects.

          ===

Also I don't see what Khatibi and co. have to do with what Cataphract said. Of course 10 years is exaggerated, but I believe his point was that Daei never should have continued so long with his footballing career and that he had no business becoming the TM headcoach at that time, just like neither GN nor Ghotbi had any business getting the greatest coaching job in Iran!
Persian Pride running through my veins!

Agreed on that. Daei should have retired from TM in 2004 and shouldn't have taken the TM job so early.
I bought up Khatibi, because people's excuse for why Khatibi and Enayati never did great in TM was because Daei was there for so long. To me it was a very childish complaint which was quickly refuted once they started some games and we all saw how "brilliant" they were.

I ask everyone to not be "binary" in what they like or dislike. Everyone should express what details/events they like and what they don't , and not have a Black or White take on the overall state of our football or our coach. So "hating" everything that Daei does or says is not constructive, and same hold true about MK, or CQ. This approach would actually have a very positive effect on our football, as it will eventually affect CQ or whoever our coach is.

              Here are mine:

I like what Daei said in this interview.

I like CQ's overall performance. I also like his attention and emphasis on defense overall. He has made us aware of the importance of defense once again, something I've been hoping for over 40 years. Glad he is staying with the team.

I didn't like the way we played against teams like UAE and Iraq. We should have pressed in the opposition's half and not played the same way we did against Nigeria and Argentina in the WC.

Funny you said this. He is an educated business man with a large pedigree of footballing achievements. I think he should be somewhere high up in IFF.

Does he really have a master degree as people say? in what field? When does a football player have time to get a master degree?

We had a whole problem with playing older players. At a time when Borhani was on fire, we went with older options. As if it was the turn of Enayati and Khatibi, instead of better options.

06-10, Borhani should've been our starting striker with Hash. At a minimum a sub like Gucci is now.

I give credit to CQ for bringing him on and starting him when he was an unknown.

I don't think he has his masters yet. He was at one point taking night classes to be get a masters in Physical Education a few years ago. Not sure he continued.
His bachelors is legit though. 100%.

he has a master degree from sanate sharif, and in engering, he is one of the very few iranian footballers, who has a good education background, if today he leave football he can be successfull, he has many shops because he knows business.football maybe does not have to do with business, but when your smart you can make right choice, maybe daei did not make some right choices as a coach, but he knows football

Daei claiming that CQ is responsible for the low level of the league and that it is his fault (not the IFF) that there are so many vacant days in the league:
                            http://khabarsistan.ir/انتقاد-شدید-د...#1588;آ/

Claiming that TM is mismanaged by CQ and wrong friendlies are chosen and hinting that he is lowering the prestige of TM:
                            http://daneshgahnews.com/0fa2184idcontent.htm

Interesting article (frem when Daei was Persepolis coach) mentioning that Daei has an agenda by supporting CQ and that is to make his rivals confused and unfocused for the ACL: http://tamasha24.com/fa/news-details...1608;ش!/

Blaming the loss of his team (Rah Ahan vs Esteghlal) to CQ by stating that when CQ does not pick players from his team they play very bad, hence they lost to Esteghlal. Furthermore he claims that CQ has much more facilities as a TM coach than he has, but is never critized. Simultanously he says that CQ is the best choice as a TM coach.

I usually saw the abovementioned criticisms on TV when he was Persepolis coach. I didn't have the "hoseleh" to search youtube for the videos.

Changing topic a bit. Can you guess who this dude is?

                              Agrees!

I dont think he is one who is good to have as a coach because he is a "hashieh master". He is more suited for political work and I personally think that he should aim for the top job in AFC.
