Ashkan is openly intimidating and nasty, but ando is the silent type, he commits all the really sly and professional fouls. Both are probably our two strongest players physically.

Gucci is instrumental for us. However we now have Azmoun as well. Dejagah is not THAT vital to us. In the last three crucial matches in the WCQ he was injured and did not play for us and we managed to win.

However Dejagah adds an important dimension to the game: flair and confidence.

CQ has managed to create a depth in the squad we have bot seen for a long time and he seems to be introducong players at the right moment. This is evident with Azmoun who didnt accompany ud to Brazil but played very well in the AC.

Anything else we want to credit CQ with?

Thank you CQ for inventing the Kabab ... and discovering Saffron ...

Oh wow. So are we even going to debate that without CQ, Gucci and Ashkan join? is it a coincidence that after Daei and Ghotbi both BEGGED ashkan to come, it wasn't until CQ that ashkan agreed? lol. and if gucci's constant praise of CQ is any indication, without CQ there's no gucci.

for those who are "moghim kharej" you can buy your sarbazi, but if you live in iran you cannot

I acknowledge CQ's role in inviting Ashakn and Gucci to Team Melli and their great contribution so far.

I remember how some domestic coaches were criticizing him for bringing "do-rageh" (having two bloods/ half Iraninan, wrong choice of words except for Zandi and Davari) players and by doing so, disrespecting the quality of PGL and under-rating PGL based players.
Funny how these two were vital in our qualification to WC and Asian Cup too.

We have many talents in Iran, but their talents are wasted in the current footballing system with lack of infrastructure, knowledgeable coaches and scouts.

I've gone through this discussion several times here, there is zero proof that Daei and GN approached Ashkan or Ghoochannejhad. We can keep telling ourselves the b.s. that some foreigner with his magical powers rescued our football, but the truth is far from it.

do you remember the time we couldnt even open a thread about ashkan on here? LOL....it would be filled with insults and then moved to international forum.

to answer your question - we would not be anywhere without them...however i have been unhappy with their Al-soorakh choices and ashkan has become a bit slower and doesnt move as fast. kind of disappointed with some of his performance lately. but still better than what we got. i was more disapointed in jahanbakhsh in asian cup, he didnt do anything impressive.

It's a bit confusing. Some of the same people who say without the likes of RGN and ASHKAN and ... we wouldn't have qualified or would this and that and they're Gods, elsewhere claim CQ has less quality at his disposal than other vatani coaches, to excuse his average and sub par results or TM performances

Seems to me for every vatani trained Daei and Azadegan trained Azizi, we have at least if not superior, Holland trained RGN and Germany trained Ashman.

So why underachieving vatani coaches are immediately fired and attacked and criticized, but an under achieving famous int'l coach is not?

I don't reply much on PFDC to go against what someone is saying but I have to say something here.

Once again....Doctor DOOM is derailing the thread to criticize the one and only CQ. This is about Askkan and GN being in TM. Not CQ being not able to impress your high standards since you coached top teams like Real Madrid and Chelsea. Classic stuff. Top notch Doctor DOOM.

"Underachieving vatani coaches" are not fired as immediately as they should have been (like Daei) and even when they are, it is 100% justifiable because MOST of them coach games where there was no game plan from min 0 to 90. Maybe there was but they were shit, the players could not carry it out on the pitch and every team in Asia knew they could beat Iran (Ghalonei, Ghotbi, Daei) Now teams in Asia are afraid to play Iran so much and despise our team because of that! (South Korea for example, they media and even players/coaches were ecstatic that Iran crashed out of the semis)

Remember when we crashed out under Daei, GN, and Ghotbi in similar situations where TM got screwed when we had better players because the coaches always lost the tactical battle. (while CQ's TM got robbed against Iraq)

He is not an underachieving int'l coach. He is overachieving with the current state of Iran and IFF. You know what I'm talking about. When are you going to stop feeding false claims to people here?

so it's just a coincidence that they both joined the team when CQ came to the helm? there's certainly proof that ghotbi asked them both. and whether daei or GN asked is irrelevant - either they didn't ask at all (which shows their incompetence in not trying to find all thebest players possible for TM) or they did ask and were rejected.
