Originally posted by Abtin View PostWell, the team we might play for that friendly, HIGHLY depends on whether we are gonna play our WCQ on June 13th home or away. If home, then expect some team like Palestine, as no good teams will travel to Iran to play us, as we have seen past years. Away, there's a chance we can play them somewhere else.

IRAN Vs CHILE (CONFIRMED)
Originally posted by Camran khan View PostNot true bro, it's all about $$. We can get Spain down to Tehran if we pay them properly, Brazil offered to come to Tehran, so did Atletico Madrid, for the right price.
An organization called "World Sports Group" arranged them I think, also the Iraqi friendly recently played in Denmark.

The reason why no teams come to Tehran and play is because our facilities are shit. I mean, the best stadium in Iran still (Azadi) is more than 40 years old. Bad training pitches - impossible to have a proper camp.
If they build 4-5 nice pitches or a proper camp next to azadi or somewhere else and build a new modern national stadium other teams will come.
The biggest problem in iranian football is lack of facilities. The only club that understood this so far is Foolad and to a certain extent Sepahan. Look at Perspolis, a club with millions of fans but only one trainingfield. Even Ac Milans representative asked why we only have one pitch.
Instead of spending so much money bringing old or low quality foreign players they should use it for facilities. But nothing will change until IFF+sazman league introduce some rules and requirements to force the clubs.
