That's the whole point bro. He came on in the 2nd half to reduce the impact of being a man down, but completely ignored his defensive duties.

I totally agree with the notion of winning and losing as a team, if one is taking care of their responsibilities in that team.

The 1st goal was scored by the man he was supposed to cover - he just left him unmarked while hanging out in the middle of the field. That was only a few minutes after he came on, so he wasn't tired.

His man was again wide open on the 2nd goal and as I said he completely side stepped the play on the 3rd goal.

CQ giving shit to Williams before the game showing his unprofessionalism.
        Pooladi being an actor.
Williams for not remembering he gave Pooladi the card earlier.
CQ not having a Plan B in case he went a player down.

        That's what lost the game.

1.If anyone is unprofessional, it's the performances of Ben Wiliams. Carlos Queiroz doesn't take anything from anyone, some personalities can't take that.

2.His first yellow card was not even a foul. Iraqi player was being an actor, look at the highlights.

          3.Look at point one

4.We had a game plan, but AFC and the referee decided to rob us from a semi-final appearance. And, we came back twice. So much for not having a plan B.

5.Australia will get pounded by South Korea

Sorry dude but SK could barely beat the B Team in the first round. Expect Australia to win by at least 2 goals in the final.

Australia had only weak or average at best teams to deal with so far. When they faced the Koreans, they immediately got exposed.

It was the B Team man. SK Coach said yesterday "we are yet to play the Australians". SK will get schooled tonight mark my words.

OZ1, I think you lost to south Korea to avoid Iran in semi final. Ben Wiliams killed os before we were in final.
You are right that Pooladi was acting but the ref said to Nikonam that he got his 2.th yellow for beating the keeper. Besides he could have given red card to Iraqi's too.

You guys are forever thinking about conspiracy theories. I will tell you this, EVERYONE wanted to play Iran in the final and some were even saying that was the reason we sent a B Team against Korea. Trust me when I say this because it would have been the biggest $$$ puller imaginable for TV etc etc.

We play Japan all the time and everyone wanted Iran in the final because of the history.

TM never did that well when Hajsafie played as left back. That is not his natural position yet coaches insist to use him there just because he is lefti. CQ must have put in a natural left back for either Hajsafi and/or Amiri. Unfortunately, the other left back was injured even before AFC finals yet CQ took him with TM instead of taking a left back that is ready to go. Pooladi was the strength of TM defense but CQ refuse to invite another natural left back that could replace him in case. Amazingly enough Hajsafie and Amiri are the two who missed the penalties. 1) Because they played out of their natural position (due to 10 man), 2) worked very hard which made very tired, 3) It morally damages a player when he is forced to play not at his natural position.

You forgot the red card he didn't give to the iraqi deliberately handling the ball. Ben Williams either hates Iran or was told to cripple Iran or was paid. Those are the only explanations. If he is bad he would be bad against Iraq too, but most of the decisions were biased against Iran.

Hate?! Dude, put the gun down and step away from the table!

Baba, all I'm saying is if the guy's not going to be taking care of the responsibilities that are assigned to him on the field, I don't want to see him playing for TM any more. That's not a comment directed at Amiri alone, it's a general comment for any TM player and in fact any player in any team sport.

There's a difference between screwing-up (i.e. what PAG or Pouladi did in this game) and walking around on the field. Although reading most of the posts here, I'm starting to think either people didn't watch the clip or they're okay with a player constantly letting him man get away from him unmarked.

Well, the analysis on Navad of the Iraq game was VERY eye opening [WATCH THE CLIP BELOW]... they quite rightly blamed the Iraq's 1st goal solely on Amiri. He of course missed the penalty as well that needed no mention.
But what they didn't mention is that he was MIA in both the 2nd and 3rd goals as well and just grazing around the field like the 1st goal. He actually moved out of the path of Kasim before he was brought down by PAG.
Honestly, I never one see this guy near TM again.

I don't blame Amiri bro, the guy was unexperienced and CQ should have left Dejagah in the game and kept use of his technique and defensive work. Not sub him for an unexperienced youth like Amiri! I love CQ but it is only fair to put some blame on him. He is the one calling the shots after all!

By the way Poll shows 50% of people blame the referee for our result.
