that was a good start and respectable resounding win
its not easy to score 5 goals vs an nearly always 11 man opponent box..!! if it wasnt for better finishing and some unlucky bounces there were probably at least 3 more goals for us in the last 30min that i saw ..!
Omid should gel better and overall performances should also improve game by game..!

looking at the names of our team melli omid players, we didn't need JB or sardar. our team is stacked, most of our team melli omid players are stars at their club. hell, we didn't use the likes of Vakia and Nourallahi (persepolis star) in this match and we easily won. Instead of asking for JB and sardar team melli omid coaching staff should have worked more on tactics.

Interesting to see that barely any people showed up for this game, although it was all over the media in last days. Thats how iranians show their dissatisfaction. I feel bad for the likes of Azmoun. It isn't their fault.

Iran could have been up more than 6-0 at this point, if only a proper and basic tactic had been applied.
.... oh wait ..... we did have one. And ....

That's also TM's future, I'm not satisfied, to be honest, even a team from 4th League of Germany would play better as T.O.
Again and again, bezan ziresh football, no real tactic just take the ball and hope 3 players run with you, but no real plan how to crush them tactically, yea we have won 5-0, but that's nothing special we played against Nepal! It was for sure that we would win, we have much more class, but our tactic wasn't much better, if we had a higher class team, they would crush us easy, why?
It's quite simple, if Nepal tried to attack us, nearly 5 players run behind the ball and tried to stop him, whats the matter?
A team with class would play simple the ball diagonally and our whole left side would be free and 5 players got no chance to get the ball, that's pure shit, sorry, but if we have again Vatani coaches, this will be our future again!

Yeah and...? Finish the sentence.
Seems like someone has been living under a rock for the past 5 years or just being in denial.
CQ has instilled a level of organization, discipline and structure to Team Melli, not seen since the days of Ivic and Blazevic.
But lets not make it about CQ. lol

Good high tempo pressing game from TM Omid and a very good result (tied for Nepal's biggest defeat in the past 3 years) in their 1st competitive match under Khakpour.
Considering we also hit the post twice and didn't get a couple of penalty calls, I'm not sure why the expectation were so unrealistically high for TM Omid - both Nepal and Vietnam were in Pot 3 for the draw for this competition and neither Japan nor Iraq (arguably two of the best U-22 teams in Asia) managed to score as many goals on them.
I guess haters will hate no matter what, even with 90% possession, Nepal being pinned in their own half for 90% of the game (compliments a great pressing game) and with zero shots on our goal and more passes completed in this game than we normally see in 4 TM games!
We obviously have to wait and see how the other teams (mainly Saudi Arabia) perform against them, before we have anything conclusive, but they defended with 10 players and their goalie pulled some serious Jorge Campos moves despite his height being similar.
