The saddest thing is if we had lost today, there'd be some who'd quickly come here and start attacking members and making this as if it's CQ versus khakpour, wasting no chance to laugh and ridicule (as if this was not an Iranian team)!!!
the very same ppl who wasted no time to attack members in the supposed ''discussion'' thread.
Very sad indeed

GREAT result albeit in a game that left a lot to be desired organizationally.
We're obviously at the beginning of the road so MUCH work remains and at this age group performances and results can be very unpredictable as the Saudi game earlier today proved.
The Saudis had beaten the Asian Games' finalists (North Korea) 2-1 a few days ago, but failed to beat Afghanistan today.
Also Thailand, the semi-finalists at the Asian Games, barely managed to squeeze by Cambodia (non-participant in the Asian Games) with a 2-1 win.
Of course Palestine had finished on top of their group in that competition and made the round of 16 while we finished at the bottom of our group.
So much improvement over just a few short months and something to be hopeful about.

lol. Sorry mate. I just couldn't resist this.
WHOSE ''desperate'' need, again?
This little sentence, at once is funny, ironic, tragic, shocking, mind boggling, ... all at the same time.
Ummmm... I think this ''desperation'' that you speak of may be more evident in a coach throwing a tantrum and eventually quitting over not having these two for FRIENDLY games when there was an official competition was going on.
Did you spend more than 5 second to ponder on this before you rushed to write it, I wonder.

3-0 final
as a team Omid played terrible all over the pitch.
but the sheer superiority of the squad talent was the main difference maker today..!!
i think its fair to say Khakpoor hasnt really had enough time, but the prospects of drastic improvement look bleak as well.
hopefully team chemistry, organization and team play will improve as the tourney goes on ..!! without significant improvement on that front they will likely loose out in the the next round of qualification..!!
No doubt that Azmoun and ARJ services are badly needed in this team, at least to save some face and not get embarrassingly undone in the early stages of Olympic Qualification..!!

We had serious shortcomings today in MF.
I think Khakpour has strange idea when he use Ali Karimi as DM. Noroolahi , is much better option while Karimi can move up . Karimi as far as i recall has problem with his shooting calibration and he need to work on that.
Sardar and Motahari upfront has not been carefully planned by khahpour.
We won but we were not convincing , too many goal chances for Palestine to score.
