1st 15 minutes TM was too nervous.
A lot of ball watching instead of marking when defending.
Beikzadeh, Dejagah and Teymourian have been the worst players.
TM needs to be more physical and push the Swedes more - they're not that much better.
Also the ref needs to stop fellating Zlatan.

i think we jumped the gun on PAG as CB...!!
his weak positioning and play/partnership with Hossain has been the biggest reason we got both goals scored on us

i think he should be moved to DMF

dejagha should be give 5-10 minutes max to show up to play in 2nd half and if he doesnt CQ needs to yank his weak ass..!!

I wish we had jahanbakhsh, dejagah isnt having a good time since he uses his physical presence to keep the ball, but the swedes are stronger, we can see from what amiri and shojaie are doing that a technical fast player (i knw shojaie is not fast) can take advantage of their defence

This is a good friendly; it is exactly what a friendly is for: expose shortcomings.

This is the most physically strong team TM has faced in a long time and it shows that our defense still needs to make adjustments.

Strategically, I wish TM had focused more on the left side where Sweden is more vulnerable and on authorizing someone to man mark Sweden's dangerman.

Another brilliant start from TM taking the game to Sweden and pressing high up on the field - very high tempo.

It's understandable that you'll have more gaps when you press higher up the field, so our defense needed to be a lot more efficient, especially with their marking - unfortunately they didn't deliver as Hosseini, Montazaeri and Hashem were all VERY poor with their marking which is why we went down two goals.

But the boys have shown great gheyrat and composure and got one back. Overall a VERY entertaining game from TM (one of the most entertaining) playing a nice balance of offense and defense and a 2-1 scoreline playing Sweden at home is more than acceptable.

Hope the boys come out even stronger and turn the result around, although this is a friendly and result doesn't really matter.

Most notable thing about the match: CQ wearing a tie in a BIG bilakh to the IR!
