Mahdavikia urges Iran Football Federation to renew Queiroz’s contract

    http://www.persianfootball.com/news/...rozs-contract/

    .

I havent seen so much support by current players, and former players for a TM coach in Iran.

First Mansourian, then Ali Daei, and now Mahdavikia.

Its quiet unprecedented as far as I remember in Iran.

      Thanks.
To be honest I never expected that from Parvin... usually the 70ies gang were always the more nationalistic and sceptic gang, refusing any foreign coach, but this coming from Parvin means something.
He is not saying it because he wants to be CQs assiatant or something. lol..... He really means it.

In airport he said he will be coming back to Iran but not as the head coach. Alot of people are really worried now because hes apparently pretty serious about leaving and told the rest of the management he cant continue without IFF support. Kaffashian told him hes tried everything but he cant come up with the money and seems like this time its for real and he really might be leaving.
I don't blame the guy. hes put his rep on the line for us so many times and now he sees nothing will change again and our football is a joke.

The only consideration that matters to me are results at the highest stages of world football competition. Iran failed in the 2014 World Cup as well as AFC 2015 under the tutelage of Carlos Queiroz. Identical or better results were achieved by other TM coaches. If you want more of the same then extend his contract. The record speaks for itself, Branko got better results than CQ. Find someone else. Kafashian has given Carols plenty of chances. Please spare the lack of preparation alibi. There are many contries non-aligned with the West and its sanction machine who would play against Iran. The list is long.

Goals set by IFF before hiring CQ:

Qualify for the World Cup (accomplished)
Semi-Finals at the Asian Cup (not accomplished because of Ibn Ben Wiliams)

I think you are being really harsh.

cq himself admitted to this. he said that iran and iranian fans gave him everything while he could not give them anything. in terms of preparations, training camps, control over ipl calender, fans full support, media full support, player full support.... no other coach got what he got. again i think we should re-evaluate what we want out of cq. if he is there to over see the whole structure of iranian football, build a future, build youth teams then that is a different story but if he is there to get just results i think it is fair to say he has failed and should not get an extension. 3-4 million a year is a lot of money and he is not the only qualified coach in the world at that price range.

PLEASE send this gem to every one on the national team. It's your duty to educate these fools. Clearly the players who train with this man day in and day out know nothing about good coaching and what's best for them as a team. Make sure to also include that you had no clue Iraq won the Asian cup and you just thought they were some country "without a functioning government". If they still don't recognize your authority, remind them you're an anonymous guy who posts on the internet with hours upon hours of FIFA 15 under his belt. I'd be shocked if that doesn't convince them. Good boy.

You need to stop using the tired FIFA 15 cliche' of yours because it is getting too corny. Also stop calling people idiot, genius, fool etc because it makes you look exactly the same, OK?
Like I said, CQ's results speak for itself. Fail at 2014 WC and fail at AFC 2015. If you want the same result in 2018 then be my guest, hire him so that TM can exit the groups stage once more.

Stop spouting clueless nonsense and I'll stop making sarcastic comments about your knowledge.

Yes, his record does speak for itself. Qualifying to the World Cup as the first team in our group while beating Korea home and away. Having a 12-win streak in Asia which we hadn't had since the 1970s. Creating a highly organized and disciplined national team with a unified team-first mentality that is unlike anything seen in our football in decades, if ever. And that's why the entire team stands behind him, as do the fans who understand a damn thing about football, about our own track record and about what we're in for with this regime once CQ leaves. If you think with this government's pathetic investment in infrastructure and the comical lack of interest and competence of those running our football we have somehow "failed" by not advancing from our group in the World Cup you're exactly as out of touch as I said in my other comments. That same Iraq "without a functioning government" had better preparations and ten friendlies leading up to this cup than we did! That tells anyone with common sense what a joke of a federation and sports ministry our country has under this regime and how off base your own comments are.
