I have no idea "what flower he has put onto someone's head" for Derakhshan to have become PP's coach, and he had the audacity recently to criticise CQ as well. Perhaps it is time he went back to acting. Pejman Jamshidi, please make a new series.
Malavan seem on the brink of scoring another goal.

Wow, what an ending to that game!

So, with that PP becomes only the 2nd team to lose 4 consecutive matches this season - the other being Rah Ahan who with this week's loss holds the record with 5 consecutive losses and look destined for relegation.

If PP keep this up for two or three more games, they could seriously be looking at relegation. People said IPL wouldn't be the same without Malavan, but imagine it without PP!

Zareh was way off the goal line before PK was taken and therefore the penalty should have been retaken.
It was AR2's responsibility to make sure Zareh did not move forward from the goal-line before PK was taken.

BTW, Malavan join the exclusive cub of Foolad, Naft and Padideh as the teams who have not lost a game in the 2nd half (table half) of the season!

They tied a 10th placed team, then 7th placed, then 3rd placed and now they've beaten a 9th placed team!

They now have the chance to jump frog either Naft MS or Gostaresh, AND Rah Ahan next week.

This sums up malavans season, an absolute roller coaster. They usually play pretty good football but struggle to get results. Good to see they're taking steps to improve, they can't get relegated.

Can someone please explain why the fvck Maziar Zare was the goalkeeper?
And is the goalkeeper allowed to step forward like Zare did?

Sadeghi (their keeper) tripped Bengar in the box and since it was a clear goal scoring chance, he got red carded. Since they had done all their 3 subs, they could only use one of their outfield players, so that's how Zare ended up in goal.

To answer your 2nd question, the goalie is allowed to make any type of move AFTER, or less officially as the ball is kicked, including coming off his line. If the penalty's not scored and the goalie moved way off his line before the kick was taken, it usually has to be taken again.

In this case, Zare wasn't really that far off his line (maybe a yard) if you watch it in slow motion. Gabriel made the mistake of slowing down a couple of times on his run to take the kick which allowed Zare to take a half step each time. In these situations most refs would just let it go and aren't too concerned about half steps.

Can someone please find Firouz Karimi's interview from after the match?!

I expect him to have some great words about the game.

Iman Sadeghi is one of the best keepers in the PGL, he had some very solid saves today.
