Well the answer would be one that would squarely put the fault on IR and Raeisi. The answer is subtle yet obvious - toeing a thin line in any dictatorship.

can't blame navad. no one knows why games are not being played, astan qods simply just said that no body will use the stadium with no explanation

I think they don't want Imam Reza Stadium used because it may attract other cities attention and it may upset them. Upset them because they don't have as good a stadium as Mashhad. Then they may complain and blame those who are to blame (the aghab oftadeh who want to keep money away from our stadiums and sports in general).

It could also be they fear once they open the stadium Padideh, Siah Jamegan, or whoever that's using the stadium to relegate, leaving unhappy fans who would damage and vandalize the place.

I don't know anymore.. I've thought about everything and Navad did a good job covering the issue.

What I want is a team who has history and a decent fan base to take over. Who knows, maybe they're waiting for Abumoslem, I don't know.

Grass is being laid in Foolad Arena. Was supposed to be laid earlier, but heat in Ahvaz has been horrible as always.

According to coach Pourmousavi, Foolad Arena is going to be finished in October/November and Foolad's home games are going to be held there as of mid-season. Apparently, the stadium has a bad location - just like Ghadir (too far away from the city-centre)

Its not in downtown, but its still in the city borders and has several access points:

Also, the stadium is built on Foolad's grounds and sports complex, so I don't know what else the could have done besides being spending a lot more money to get downtown Avhaz land.

Yeah it really doesn't look that far.
And it's better to have a nice modern stadium even if it means it won't be in the center.
