Foolad Khuzestan Stadium aka Foolad Arena - Ahvaz, Iran

It is mostly complete and the team has been practicing there for a couple of months now. Grass is looking better. There are some planned expansiosn (bigger parking, restaurant...) but I don't know when they'll start those. This will be Foolad's stadium starting this upcoming season:

A beautiful stadium. Pitch was replaced 3-4 months ago and it looks great. This stadium has alot of potential if they could put stands on all sides.





TM camp - Tehran, Iran

TM Camp Field 1 finally had new grass planted. There are thousands of meters of heating and cooling and drainage pipes underneath so this will last.
TM Camp Field 2 will also go through the same process.
This took forever due to the tendering process.
Plan is ultimately to have 6 fields like this at TM camp.
Taj was finally able to push it through. This had been a problem since 2014 and its why TM has to have so many trips outside of Iran for training.

Now would an Iranian coach or even a Branko push IFF so much as to force them to build such a facility??? ITS ONLY CQ who has done this and his legacy will remain long after hes gone!

To be fair the TM camp was built between 1998 and 2000 when Safaei Farahani was federation boss.
Its only with Taj that attention has been paid again.

I’m actually really optimistic because it’s Seems that things have actually been getting done.


Foolad shahr looks fantastic and revitalized.

Foolad arena is by far the most modern looking stadium and the design is great.

Can’t wait to see them both used, the quality of PGL stadiums and pitches has definitely improved a lot from a few years ago.

Now only if teams from shomal can try and build something like foolad shahr or even bonyan dizel

Foolad Arena looks amazing, hopefully Naghse Jahan finishes the remainder and almost All the stadiums in PGPL are looking good.

My main goal is to see TM play in one of these stadiums rather than play every game at Azadi. Let other fans who can't travel to Tehran experience a TM game

One stadium that needs attention is Tehran’s Azadi stadium. Especially since the IFF refuses to play TM matches in other cities, we need to improve this stadium both aesthetically and security-wise. It definitely needs roof. Cements are cracked and look ugly. Tracks need to be gone, when don’t even use it, so demolish it and extend the sitting area all the way to the pitch.

No Shahrestani stadium should hold more than 20k-25k at most. They barely draw in more than 5000-10,000 nonetheless. In other words cut than quantity, instead add to the quality!

Most likely no game play there till midseason and then there are serious issues of securities.
Fans are too close to the players and short of heavy screening there are serious safety issues involved.
Fans in Iran when angry are unpredictable especially with Foulad fans who hate their coach.

Beautiful. Kind of looks like some of Russia's stadiums.

As St-Mark pointed out, the issue with our spectators, and particularly Foolad Ahvaz stadium is that our fans are extremely hot headed and when calls don't favor their teams, they tend to get violent, and start throwing objects onto the pitch ruthlessly, acting like thugs. I think best is to have nets all around between the stands and the pitch. This way thrown objects will never reach the pitch. Something like the below pics:

foolad looks like a modern WC stadium. Naghshe jahan mainly in terms of sheer scale (massive stadium), is fantastic as well. These two along with azadi and AQR mean we have 4 excellent stadiums. Mianrood is decent as well. I would really like to see one top stadium in northern iran, for Nassaji for example. Obviously the rain there could be problematic. Another more modern stadium in tehran is needed as well.
I hope we can also develop one high end training center in kish so TM can also have long camps there, instead of going abroad. Additionally, IFF could rent this facility out to teams that are having preseason camps during winter (european teams), and make good money off it. TM could also just use this as their camp for Qatar WC (could have been used as camp for UAE AC if these idiots could even think of planning)

beautiful because it's photoshoped. Not now and not in a 100 years will Iran have a pitch that looks like that.
