Zandi back in Iran... to train with EsEs!

Zandi's finally back to Iran and will start training with EsEs just to get back in shape (he's 35 now).

EsEs can't sign any more over 23 players this season, but it's good to see Fereydoon keeping in shape and doing proper training.

I think with the German disciplined background, he will be a good coach in Iran some day.

Welcome home after the arabs broke your keg.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Hopefully he will inject some manner in SS and the rest of IPL. He has been a great TM player who really screwed up his club career by joining TM.
.... At the end I am nothing other than ordinary

Love Zandi. Probably in my top 5 favourite all time Iranian players.

His style of play was very misunderstood in Iran, at TM level and especially at club level. Often times it was apparent that his team mates did not have the awareness to realise what he was going to do. Those kinds of situations also made Zandi look bad, because his pass would look like a random throw away. When in reality, he was expecting the receiving player to have enough awareness to run into the open space.

Anyways, Zandi is awesome. Like him so much I forced myself to get his SS jersey when I was in Iran.

GN is smart... he fed off the recent controversy with CQ, and managed to re-energize his team.

Zandi was a great playmaker. He was put on the left side because of his left foot, but he would have been much more productive if he was CM

Great to see he's recovered from his horrific injury. He was undervalued and misused in TM. I always said at the time he was one of our better technical midfielders and a great passer of the ball, not to mention his excellent direct free kicks. It's just a shame that his club career took a nose dive after Kaiserslautern, he had the potential to be a modern legend.

I met Zandi during AC 2007 in Malaysia. He was the most friendly guy over there. What a lad.
