better than sitting on bench in ku8 i guess..!!
at least he will keep fit better getting regular action

if the move is actually for longer term than just till the end of this season, then its fair to assume a possible return back to EU football is 90% out of picture..!

Ambition is a great quality and certainly good players have great deal of ambition and self confidence to risk and gamble given the right opportunity. I think very highly of Reza and his decision to join Team Melli. After all who could forget his contributions and his goals that sealed the direct qualification for team Melli as group leader. Particularly after losing to Uzbacks in Azadi and string of ties with Qatar (which still had a chance to qualify). His goals in Qatar and SK are among the most valuable goals in Iran history of world cup Qualifications.
However he is in his late twenties and perhaps has 2-4 years of shelf life. These players play soccer and invest 20 plus years of their lives for fame and FORTUNE. Reza is a good forward but we all know he is not first rate world class player that will demand major European offers and money. He needs to capitalize on his team Melli experience/exposure which show cased his talents in Asia (particularly during the qualifications). Since UAE is no longer a viable choice for Iranian players the only other logical choices are either Kuwait or Qatar that can and will offer good money for decent players. Ashkan also took the same route and came to the same conclusion. I personally believe Ashkan is more marketable and more of a fit for European clubs.
We as fans selfishly would love our national heroes play in Europe and marque clubs however we have to be more practical and pragmatic when it comes to financial decision that our payers make with limited playing time left. I think we need to respect their decision making and judgment. Reza and Ashkan both seems smart and intelligent with probably good advisors I imagine.
AS good as Sardar and Alireza J. and others are developing under Carlos I am not sure Reza would even be able to start or play in 2018 should Iran be fortunate to make it to Russia. Heck he did not start against UAE and Iraq in the past AC2015.

I agree. His contract with Charlton hasn't ended, and we haven't seen any official news report that states he has been released by Charlton or has become a free-agent. All we know for sure is that his Kuwait loan has ended earlier than expected due to the Club's desire of not wanting him due to another player's signature. In my opinion, the Al Wakrah club plays in a more competitive league than all AFC Arab countries due their unlimited transfer and usage of Foreign players as well as the implementation of Foreign Coaches with international experience with better facilities and training fields than we do have in Iran. Iran is more competitive but we do lack in facilities and proper training pitches. Hopefully this supposed 'loan' could wake him and show him that Europe is his true calling and there is no actual challenge here in the Middle East other than false hope hidden behind corrupted Arab Money.

When a soccer player's playing career is over it doesn't mean he no longer makes money. Get a job after you stop playing.
Show some pride and don't just chase money. Last time this subject popped up there was a member on PFDC who said he was willing to give koon for $200,000 but I'd like to think our players are better than that.
I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

If anything its a hit to Qataris, not us.

We are going there and taking their millions, then proceed to beat their national team constantly. Its like a double knock out. :P

Reza Ghoochannejhad always delivers for TM, whether playing for Liege or Al Kuwait. If that trend continues then I will be fine.

Holy crap guys! You act as if players don't make any money after their football careers! Mostly all professional football prayers never make anywhere close to a mil a year and nearly all of them retire before 35. Your telling me these people simply stop making investments or money after 35 and for 50 some years just live off of their football money? I mean common, honestly. All footballers have buisiness and sources of income for "food on the table" after their careers so don't give me this bs that they have to work in the Arab leagues to prepare for their future. No matter how much Money they make as footballers, unless they are like the top 30 footballers on the planet making "Ronaldo" salaries, they will still have to work after their football careers. so really Gucci and Dej and all the others should be making the best careers for themselves that they can instead of "securing their future" because that sure as hell won't happen. I am still not mad at Gucci for going to Qatar and Kuwait as I believe that his club has a lot to do with where he can go and he is thus limited by what they allow him to do.

EDIT: sorry for all the spelling mistakes. My swiftkey (autocorrect) kept suggesting the wrong words.

Honestly guys, when Reza moved to Al Kuwait you were all saying he was gonna be sht for TM and the Carlos shouldn't call him up anymore, and then what happened? He ended up saving our asses. Twice. I couldn't give more of a sht were he plays as long as he can maintain a goal per game ratio for TM. Even in the Afghan Premier League, as long as he puts the ball in the net for TM. And lets look on the positive atleast he ended moving to a okayish league instead of the pathetic excuse for a league that is the Kuwaiti Premier League (Yes, yes I know he could have gone to Europe, just trying to look on the bright side so don't start attacking me). Im not gonna say noosheh joon like most of you, because that is plain stupidity he could have made a lot of money in Europe. But, I'm just saying we can't complain if Reza keeps delivering for TM.

Also lets hope EA includes the Qatar Stars League in FIFA 16 so we can finally have a full Iranian team in Ultimate team

Don't call him up anymore. He bitches & moans too much when he doesn't win a foul and he simply has a low IQ with his poor career choices and stupid instagram posts.

Sadly, I am almost relieved. I was already thinking he'd be clubless for the next six months and Qatar even is an improvement in comparison to Kuwait.

I honestly don't care where gucci goes as he is too old and does not have the potential to become a great in Club football like Jahanbakhsh or Azmoun or Ezatolahi. Either way I still support the guy because he always plays well for TM

Yet he proved that he still got it in the AC, while playing as a sub.

I think that's where his biggest mistake in his career was, I don't believe he would have wound up in the middle east this soon had he chose Holland initially.
In order to choose there has to be something to choose from in the first place. There just wasn't any real interest in him from Dutch premier league teams. And if there wasn't any back then, then surely there won't be any coming now that he screwed himself by going to Kuwait and now Qatar!
