Naft players had a better passing game than TM ever had last 3-4 years.

I like how people always give the excuse that players can't pass in the IPL so we are "forced" into playing an anti-football/non-passing game and CQ making the best out of what he has. That's not true, I can name more than a couple of teams in the IPL that have better passing than TM. It has to do with Mr.Carlos's ideology and tactics, not with Iranian players. With all the talented attacking players coming up, CQ HAS to change his tactic to something more offensive now.

You fail to understand the importance of preparation. Naft has a good passing dynamic because they train with each other everyday and play at least a game per week. You cant compare that with IFF's shitty planning for TM and lack of friendlies.

If a bunch of u23 players at naft can pass the ball around then im pretty sure tm can aswell. So the people saying iran plays that way because of a lack of talent should find something else.

Naft was great in defense and midfield but didnt have much attacking flair. Hopefully motaheri can score some goals to get them out of the group stage but they will definitely be a good representative.

Yeah dude, because winning is determined by the number of passes you make. Remember that UAE match? I think if UAE had a few more passes they would have earned enough passes to count as a goal....

The movement of the nafti players is suberb compared to what we saw from TM at the Asian cup.

Naft was fluid.
It was a great performance. A few flaws will go away after 2-3 seasons. These guys will be the future of TM. CQ identified a few already.

I always look for good and bad and ugly parts of the game and sometimes put myself in the coach' s shoes and that is why i posted Rezai must be subbed and not to my surprise soon after He was subbed out. Not because of agreeing with me but Mansoorian has the eyes to see the problems and fix them. Rezai should know that when he is surrounded by two or three guys he cannot go through. He is not Ali Karimi or Azizi. He should use his style of playing once in a while and doing it over and over.
The goalkeeper Beiranvand was great. Intelligent and he knew how to adjust his position.
This goalkaaper will not give a chance to Davari, Rahmati and even Ahmadi.

1. TM and all other players should learn how to shoot the ball from 30 yards and should start to believe that it is not necessary to move the ball completely near the goal.

2. I think with one more good performance from Naft you will see more support and fans develop in Tehran. Afterall no one signed a document to love PP or SS so the youth especially may become fans of Naft. Afterall the goal is to shine in Asia and if Naft can do it, it will have the fan base by next year.
Naft was good also in previous years especially in the first half of season under Faraki. With consistency we have seen from naft during the last few years we are seeing basically a replica of Sepahan in Tehran.

sure. the Koreans know the impact of fans.
If half of the tickets are not sold and it is 2 hours before the match you can be 99.7% confident that not all the remaining tickets will be sold, so at least you can use 1/4 of the tickets and give away to kids to attend the match. some companies like samsung also buy the tickets at discount and donate to schools especially when they know the match will not be popular and the stadium may be empty. During one Asian u23 games I recall the game between Qatar and Iran and saw a two groups of fans, one for each team and they had flags and drums to support both of the teams. So the empty stadium did not look empty anymore with 100 fans for each team.

One more thing:
The Naft players looked so confident and showed no fear from the beginning. They even looked more confident than TM playing against Qatar or Bahrain. We must examine the culture of the club or the places the players were born or grew up. There may be some correlation. Just like in Wrestling you can be sure that a man born in Jooybar Maazandaran or somewhere is kermaanshah will behave as a pahlevaan and will fight to the end of the match on that mat.

No matter what Naft does in ACL the system will make sure they relegate out of IPL next year. We saw this with ZA when they shined in ACL. The fictitious status of PP and SS must be maintained. That is even more true in Tehran.

Actually we can blame other teams that ruin the champ. Look how many good players left PP. Just losing Hosseini and Pooladi was a big blow to PP. When a team becomes champ everyone grabs their players, irani or taazi.
look what happened to sepahan. Cezar, and many others who are in different teams.
The players should become more loyal and the coaches should be in more stable position as Krancar was. Naft was good under Faraki also but in mid season transfers hurt them too.
Moving players from team to team has become a new profession for dallals like real estate agents. That is the major part of the problem. new need FSBO (for sale by owner) signs on players' foreheads.lol
