Legionnaires @ Armenian Premier League

Three Iranian players play at the Armenian Premier League for FC Ararat Yerevan. I thought we should keep tabs on them, like we do with rest of our Legionnaires. Although, these three are nothing special, from all that I have read it seems that these guys couldn't cut it in IPL and left for the Armenian league.

FC Ararat Yerevan is doing really bad this year. Though. They finished at the fourth place last season. They are last this season. on the positive side, the season is not over yet. The good thing is that Armenia being in UEFA there is always a chance for these teams to get a play-off chance to play in Champions league. The teams that finish second and third will also get the chance to play in play-off for europa league.

The three players are :

Saman Aghazamani, 25 years old (ex. Persepolis)

Hossein Hosseini, 26 years old (ex. Paykan)

Shoaib Amiri, N/A (ex. Saipa)



The latest news on them is that they played a friendly against FC Khimik Dzerzhinsk (Russian second division team) and won 4-2. Saman Agha Zamani scored one of the goals, Hossein Hosseini gave an assist and Shoaib Amiri played 90
minutes. Soon, they will play against Arsenal's B team.

Wow I had no idea aghazamani is in Armenia, interesting switch. I know the Ukrainian and Russian league get a decent amount of players from the Armenian league so perhaps if he could impress there he can attract interest in those countries. Wish him and the other two (who in not familiar with) all the best.
