Is that the new stadium they built few years ago?

Now THAT'S a real stadium, not that kindergarten Mickey Mouse joke of a thing they played on for WC preps!!! And I'll bet it was the Chileans who forced to pick this stadium.

Either way, lucky Iranians in Austria, go have fun!

Will the Argentina comparison be used for the rest of our lives? Its getting so tiring when someone responds with this. Are you claiming we are a top 5 ranked team in World Football when you bring up the Argentina game 'we should have won'

Stop with the amateur fan BS. If you have seen football before you know that these things happen.

I was just in a session at my work where Ange Postecoglu (coach of Australia) was the guest speaker and while he mentioned that Australia could have beaten Holland at the World Cup no where else did he mention that that was motivation to beat everyone else in front of them.

That is just not logical thinking. Some people are sorely lacking in logic sometimes.

Yes "we should have won". Even the argentinians agrees to this. With a little more self beleive we would have won. Why not comparing? We should always compare with that game to remind ourselves that we always stand a chance against big teams. Enough with this tarsoo mentality, bring on chile we will defeat them.

and thank god they did. can you imagine Alexis sanchez and vidal running and playing in that match box sized "stadium"?

In addition to that the stands were way too high, and you could hardly see anything at the first row
Only Vienna would have been a better choice now

I agree that its not logical thinking to compare the Argentina game to every other tough match that TM proposes to play saying we will beat them because we almost beat Argentina, BUT... you must agree that Iran was robbed of a legitimate penalty that would have resulted in a goal that would have changed the course of the game and would have concluded with Iran actually beating Argentina! Now Im not saying that if we played them again we would do the same, most probably Iran would lose 9 out of 10 encounters with them, but on that day, Iran should have won if the ref had more balls to award a legit penalty. This is fact and we cannot deny this...

These next 2 friendlies for Iran are the best i have ever seen TM play back to back and we could see Iran wining one of the 2 games

Did Iran have to pay Chile & Sweden for these matches?
